This was such a good show. I honestly did not expect it to be as good as it was. Since most reviews already explain the plot, characters, etc. I won't get into it in detail. This is one of the most overrated shows ever. I put off watching the show for years because I was tired of hearing how great the show was. I finally decide to watch it around Christmas last year and boy was I disappointed. The relationships in the show are fake cause there is no real buildup and the show doesn't really have a main focus. Having multiple episodes focus on different girls that the MC goes out with just to forgot about them later is pointless. Also, Mai and what's his name barely see each other at all. I honestly don't understand why people hate the film so much. It's honestly solid. Yes, it has its faults but I was genuinely invested throughout the film. Though I wish it had featured more romance between the two leads and felt somewhat rushed in the beginning, I'd still recommend this film. It was a decent film that did it's job, even if it the idea itself was unoriginal. I guess people don't like seeing relationships that are genuine or they're just reminded of their own past, hence why they call it trash and a waste of time (probably reminiscent of their own lives).
