So many people have recommended this too me, so I had high hopes... I have not been this disappointed in a long, long time.
First off, the character designs are TERRIBLE. If a series wants to invoke fear, I believe it NEEDS to stay away from 4-head-tall character designs that have stupid, unnatural ways of speaking, unnatural hair, and no variation in wardrobe If you are writing a fun, adventure shonen manga, go for it. If you are writing mystery/horror, it's just stupid. The story-telling was also bad. Parts that should have created an emotional impact failed to do so, and I never cared enough
