I think their is more of a story in Akuma no Riddle than a lot think and that the 'moral' of it is to protect what you cherish to any end, but that's just my perspective from the episodes I've watched.
I may have to try out the manga or LN that it was based off of just to see if the pacing and background is wonky in that as well. I really want to be able to love this story because it's intriguing but I need reasons why these things are happening.
Also I see that Clannad AfterStory in in your watching list but I noticed that Clannad isn't in your completed (don't know if this is on purpose or not). While I guess it's not exactly necessary, and Afterstory is a lot better than the first season, I would recommend you watch season 1 first because it builds the background between the characters (yes can be slow but makes everything much more worth while when completed).
Hey! Just read your Black Bullet review. I totally agree with you that this show feels very rushed. I personally think it would have done better as a 24 episode series so they could build the back story and plot better. I think that
Hiruko may not be really dead, but if he is that was way to fast. I mean they didn't even develop his background. And they really glossed over Rentarou having artificial limbs and his relationship with with Tendou.
Now that I am thinking about it, there is really so much that isn't explained or was just barely glossed over. Here's to hoping they slow down the pacing a bit and explain things thoroughly. It's a really interesting concept but I need deeper development.
