This season starts off well, but leaves you in a spot of feeling like this is going to be a filler based on other long term anime. I was tricked too and picked it back up after 2 months. This season is getting really juicy and goes further into details in regards to "One for All" as well as some soon to be big fights. Stick around through the initial match ups for Deku's fight. TRUST me! It gets good and the whole story is starting to unravel.... You could technically skip a few episodes, but I don't want to spoil anything.

I loved season 1! It had epic battles and character development similar to One Punch Man. I gave this anime about 8 episodes to do something entertaining, but all I get are people who love to float jump around the town, and a story that I stop paying attention to and have to restart the episode due to how lackluster this anime is. Hell, I have rewatched Season 1 when Bell killed his first Minotaur at least 20 times. Don't think there is a single thing in this season so far I am itching to rewatch or gives me an emotion.

This sequel is a reminder ... of how J.C Staff operates and a reason I'm starting to quit watching all of their anime. The studio tries to pump out a lot of anime and only give season 1 attention... It is to the point that I think the studio only cares about the revenue and not about the product, similar to a large corporation that only wants max profit with minimal production cost.

This anime needs to be like Wit's Attack on Titan sequel that pushed the story with less fighting. The raw emotions you could feel down to your bones through facial emotion and music. Vinland Saga is a good current example of how the captivate on raw emotion.

Final thought: J.C's first season of an anime is worth watching. Season 2 the production isn't focused on, and they just want to get something out quick and cheap. If an anime does well on the first season then expect a crappy season 2 with no shits on keeping up to par with the first.

I'm more of an action/adventure/fantasy/magic/shonen person. The only musical anime I have watched are Your Lie in April and Fuuka. So this is coming from someone who goes for great animation and plot with less emphases on the music aspect....

IMO this anime is a mix of music arts , good animation, and story development. So far I really like the development speed and a sly mixture of music from current or past generations. This anime has a different future concept that gives it a fun quirky side. The character development is really nice and gives a good taste of each individual's background and why they ... are who they are today. The anime is really captivating and isn't too in your face.

Final thought: worth watching the first 3 episodes and if you aren't itching for the next then this isn't for you. Better than Fuuka, but not quite up to Your Lie in April... the quirkiness makes it close though

I could go on and on about how there are terrible fight scenes and quality in general, but the major complaint I have is on director...

With bad fight scenes there needs to be something that catches and drags you into the story. The anime cuts a lot, and the intense scenes are not intense at all. Hero fights against the antagonist should have been more dramatic and pull you in. I sense no fear and as being a quick "keep the story moving along". The first season used humor with the fighting and art with amazing music to make you feel in the scene. The ... second season seems like I'm a drug head spouting nonsense and jumping around multiple stories and never giving any portion of my tales any gravity. The director should have brain stormed much more into how to web everything together, instead of giving you bits and pieces back to back to back. I can't even get into the story. It would be like reading a book that has 20 stories in 8 pages and keeps hopping around.

Final thought: if you have lower aptitude members of your animation staff, then make the story amazing and scene changing seamless. The only reason this show is even getting the scores and views is because of season 1. If this was a stand a lone anime... I'd rather not think of that
