Mixed Feelings
Preliminary (57/? chp)
Short review:
Absurd/comical plot. Borderline pornographic. Main characters are kinda likeable. Reaction shots are excellent.

Read if: you are a hetero male who uses bizarre methods for studying Japanese, or who feels drawn to crazy facial expressions on weirdo characters.
Avoid if: you have any self-respect, value the purity of your eyes, or require anything other than sexually-provocative drawings to keep you going in life.

Longer review:
The premise is absurd: 1000-year-old virgin demon girl with big boobs, who can't admit her romantic ignorance, goes to highschool in an impossibly short skirt (if you have to ask, you're in the wrong place). She gets attached to a ...

Mixed Feelings
Preliminary (5/12 eps)
Short version:

Longer version:
Re: Zero is about a boy caught in a cycle of endless death; Overlord is a dark action-comedy about an increasingly less sympathetic villain; Youjo Senki (The Saga of Tanya the Evil) is about a sociopathic office worker reincarnated into the body of a gifted young girl in the midst of a brutal war; Konosuba is an absurd parody of isekai and fantasy-world tropes.

A sketch-comedy series about characters ...

It's pretty, it can be funny, and it has some fun female characters... although most women just get treated as sexual targets for either the protagonist or other men.

I waver in my opinion of this series because the protagonist ultimately learns FROM women; his improvement as a person is *in spite of* the influence of other men: his father is a philanderer who is currently employing a woman he raped; he tutors for a girl ...

Preliminary (16/24 eps)
How do you rate a 4/10 isekai with a 9/10 protagonist?

Yuuki Aoi CARRIES this series, as a CGI cloud... I mean spider, in a world that also has some other characters in it.

Two pluses:
First, this anime starts strong by being self-aware enough not to bother explaining the "reincarnated in another world" concept; we know, and they know we know, and they show that they know we know.

Second, the protagonist is allowed to be confident or arrogant from time to time without automatically being beaten down for it; let the kid enjoy winning once in a while.

Kumoko the spider is incredibly physically expressive, has god-tier ...
