For a show that seemingly adheres to the usual teenage-tailored anime tropes, Highschool of the Dead is actually enjoyable. The characters have somewhat of a backstory, making them at the very least likeable. My criticisms of the anime, however, are as follow: The story is a bit bland, if not altogether comparable to that of many apocalypse-now stories. The artwork is decently done and I'll leave it at that. The soundtrack leaves something to be desired. Also the number of scantily clad women in this anime is absurd and nonsensical. Highschool of the Dead would have been better off without throwing a pair of bouncing
