I agree with the top guy's review, the plot is too generic and character development is too rushed.
[Light spoiler ahead]
So, we got power level thing, nice. Things gonna be more exciting because there will be no stupid protagonist comeback overpowering enemy much more powerful than him in the last minute... I was wrong.
The fight is basically only a show for overpowered characters while everyone else sit back and watch, maybe helping a bit by cleaning up useless troops.
"If we help him we are only going to be a burden for him."
Weak character exist only for diversity, until the author decide to power him
...
up.
First you got useless meliodas that can barely defeat guila 3 vs 1, the next day he regained his power and one hit everyone, then 10 commandments come, he gained more power AGAIN in few days and suddenly become the strongest. Thats okay i guess, he is supposed to be the strongest, he lived through the holy war afterall.
But what about his 2 other comrades that also got 10x stronger overnight?? It's like the author can not think of ways for the protagonists to stand a chance against OP commandments other than sudden powercreeps. I feel like the number is bullshit and not a rational one, i dont think 20 holy knights with 4000 power level can fight against the weakest of commandments.
Emotional story is build only from romance, and memory erase. Like, everyone is fucking losing their memory, and then they started to cry. Or they got someone they loved killed in a war. The only thing that surprise me is they keep doing that over and over again when i thought they will have something else. Everything is so shallow its lame, not emotional at all.
I have no idea why I'm still reading the manga, maybe I still have that expectation for nanatsu no taizai, I like the concept very much and still waiting for the author to come up with a more interesting plot.
"Maybe things will get more interesting next chapter.."
- me, while quickly reading through the boring fights and conversations.
