haikyuu has been consistently going at it for 4+ seasons. it is out of this world and no other show will ever replicate the quality and richness of the sense of friendship, team dynamics, and passion of adolescence as haikyuu does. the dialogue, relationships, building of characters and anticipation, pacing of haikyuu outperforms other sports anime on every possible level.
haikyuu is tier A and considered one of the best, must-watch shows out there for a heartwarming, tearjerking, endless supply of hype. it has dozens of characters that are so well fleshed out and that you fall in love with, and the main ones show

tremendous grow and it's a rollercoaster of emotions to watch them perform and cheer for them, and the anime makes you feel like you really are there in the audience cheering with all your heart for the team to win against impossible odds.
i am not even a sports anime fan and this show delivered an incredible story of love, friendship, rivalry, torment, and triumph that no other show has done quite like it, all through volleyball! that's amazing! even when they lose games i cry and my heart sobs for them because their pain and longing to reach the sky in volleyball is so real and raw. haikyuu will outlive all our puny lives and go down as one of the greatest anime of all time.

It's classic kakegurui. Some of the gambles were not as well designed as those in kakegurui imo, but it still follows the same kind of format, same suspense, same satisfaction at watching these girls overturn seemingly impossible odds. Plus, mary best girl. If you enjoyed the main anime series, and want more of the same taste, then you'll get it here. i would say most of the side characters are quite one-dimension, it has your typical submissive "i-would-give-my-life-to-you" sidekick, but for me it was worth it just to see mary prevail and outwit those that went against her. it was great to see her get

The anime had very good potential, but for me it didn’t really live up to it. The story started off very intriguing - a naked guy who’s supposedly a terrorist has lost all his memory. Oh yeah, I don’t think we ever found out why he was in that situation in the first place...which leads me to point out that there were many unanswered questions left in the anime. How exactly does Juiz work? What was with those white zombie johnnys? Were those just figments of his imagination? What was up with the other Selecaos? Who exactly was the Supporter? How did Selecaos get selected

in the first place? Plot flaws aside, the characters were very weak as well. Pretty much every single character was plain and stereotypical, besides Akira. But even he wasn’t all that great as he went through no development at all (just like all the other characters) Akira - This character was honestly only mediocre at best. Had a really interesting entrance at the beginning, but ultimately he turned out to be “the charming boy with a dark background”. Saki - Typical teenage girl that falls in love with the “bad boy”. Osugi - The desperate boy that gets friendzoned. Itazu - Stereotypical NEET. Obese, shut in, 1337 hax0r that can somehow crack down a highly confidential system in a matter of minutes
So yeah, unfortunately I don’t really have the interest left to watch the movies. This anime was quite disappointing for me. Might only be because one of my friends hyped it up like crazy. But still, there were too many flaws for me to enjoy it all that much.

lots of spoilers
I quite like the first couple episodes because it was refreshing to see the DR2 gang together again without a care in the world. Honestly, I probably wouldn’t mind a slice of life anime with just the Danganronpa students (well, minus a few of the really, really stupid ones). Anyway, I really didn’t like how it transitioned from a happy-go-lucky setting to sudden chaos and destruction. Junko somehow meets Ryoto (by this so called “fate”…yeah, more like asspulling at its finest), and somehow makes a brainwashing anime which is totally unrealistic and unconvincing, yet the anime still went along with it. Instead of

showing the characters gradually sink into murderous villains (and we didn’t even end up seeing their heinous acts), they were magically transformed into spawns of the devil! And the audience is supposed to just accept that? Yeah, no. Oh I did like the Chiaki death scene though, I would say that was the only event in the anime that actually did a decent job of pushing someone from hope to despair.

massive massive spoilers
This completely deviated from my expectations at first because I was expecting it to show how the Future Foundation managed to gradually build up society again (which, btw, im kind of disappointed that the anime didn’t show how. I mean I guess they got armies of troops to try to kill off brainwashed people but if despair was so infectious shouldn’t they have been brainwashed eventually too?). Anyway, back to the show itself, so apparently it’s going to be Killing Game Round 3 with some new some old characters. Great, another whole series of mindblowing mysteries right? But to my disappointment, nope, this

was very telenova-esque and wanted to abandon the very theme that Danganronpa is so well known for: mystery. Instead of being a murder mystery anime like I really think it should have been (it if aint broke, don’t fix it, right?), it focused on conflicts between Munakata and like, everyone, and the petty fights between Cotton Candy Girl, Yellow Spiky Boy, and Pharmacist Witch (who was apparently able to understand molecular chemistry well beyond the capabilities of our greatest scientists today …at the age of 5…), leaving approximately 5% of the story for the real, potentially exciting (emphasis on potential) mystery. Anyway, I maybe could have tolerated Munakata or even enjoyed his conflicts if he wasn’t just so damn fucked up in the head. Sure, his girlfriend just died which may have quite shaken him up (if he was, he didn’t show it…like at all…), but his irrational ideologies seemed to exist beforehand and only worsened as the anime went on. His goal to eliminate any creature that shows any despair (what is despair anyway? The anime uses it vaguely. Technically if you feel sad are you not in despair? Anyway, I’m assuming by “despair” the anime means crazy psycho murder-craving Junko clone), which is oppressive and authoritarian. If he was that kind of guy, I can understand his actions and call him rational, but no the anime needed to portray him as a positive, hopeful character that genuinely cared for the future mankind. This severely conflicted with his tyrannical behavior to the point of bizarreness that there was no way I could take Munakata seriously as a character. Going on to his main opponent, Makoto, I was dissatisfied with how the anime made him look like some hero. In the game he was just the average Joe, but this anime deeply exaggerated his “strength” and “hope”. The only phrase I feel appropriate to describe Makoto is naïvely optimistic. And he’s given waaaaay more credit than he deserves. I don’t know about the anime, but in the game it was 99% (if not 100%) Kirigiri who triumphed over Junko, yet Makoto is given pretty much all the credit. Oh and Kirigiri’s death. Like I said before, it was utterly pointless. I genuinely believe that the only reason it was implemented was to shock the audience and make them feel sad. That’s all. But oh no, we can’t keep the audience sad for too long! So instead of killing Kirigiri with the usual technique of watching Tengan’s video, we will make the most asspulling (btw, there is so much more asspulling I can talk about, but I feel this is getting far too long) forbidden action ever and have her die that way! Anyway to cut this short I think you can understand how I feel about future. Massive disappointment.
