Prelim Note: The 1st half of the show deserves a 10/10, yet I believe the second half deserves a 5/10. That explains my reasoning so no one thinks I think the anime is above average.
(SPOILERS AHEAD)
Thesis:
Death Note is a classic anime that I believe is way ahead of its time. Though a few flaws keep me from giving it a perfect score, I do believe it still shines as one anime that deserves a watch if you never watched it before.
Story - 7/10
Death Note, in my opinion, hits a problem. The 1st half was INCREDIBLY great, giving me quite a great feeling of suspense throughout
...
watching. The 1st half of the story is where the anime shines the most. Sadly, I feel like the second half didn't exactly deliver the same feeling as the 1st half. I was also a bit confused to how Light couldn't have won against Near when combating L's intelligence was almost no issue for him.
Art - 10/10
Death Note has some phenomenal art. The show is splattered with symbolism and grim art which definitely set the mood of the anime has dark.
Sound - 10/10
Such an unforgettable soundtrack. Both OPs were memorable and sometimes, I even hum Kira's (not Yoshikage) theme. The music at the right time can literally have you at the tip of your toes, wondering what scheme Light has put in place to combat L.
Character - 6/10
Light is definitely one of my favorite anime protagonists. Many people dislike him, but I beg to differ. We see throughout the series where he goes from just a regular high school kid who wants to be a vigilante to an incredibly cunning yet insane criminal murderer with a god complex. I was definitely on his side.
L is also a cool character in my opinion. Most people imagine him to be this incredibly tense and serious detective guy, which he is... but not in the way most people would expect. L's strange gimmicks and his actions throughout the show sort of made him feel much more human than all of us might've been expecting. Even more so than Light.
Most of the characters in the show do have some building up, but not as much as Light in my opinion. I feel like Misa Amane is sort of just Light's cannon fodder. Other characters are less memorable.
Enjoyment - 7/10.
Not much in this part. I really loved the first half and slept the second half except the final episode.
Overall - 7/10
If I had to just rate each part of the anime, the 1st half would definitely get a 10/10 while the second half a 5/10. I'd definitely suggest watching the anime whenever you get the chance.

(SPOILERS AHEAD)
Prelim Note:
Wow, manga fans made this up to be great! I didn't read the manga at all but if this is what it's like, no thank you!
Thesis:
It's garbage. Don't watch it.
Story: 1/10
Um, well, what can I say? I'm still not even sure what the story was when I scrapped this pile of trash. There's not much of a plot. It's sort of all over the place. I remember the half-ghouls and the CCG raiding some auction or something? I don't even remember. it's garbage, don't watch it.
...
Art: 5/10
It's okay. I've seen better and I've seen worse.
Sound: 5/10
Ony getting a five because Asphyxia is actually a good OP. Better than Unravel, IMO, but that just opinions.
Character: 1/10
Haise is literally the WORST protagonist EVER. He just sits there spouting "friendship" and is OP only because of Kaneki who's trapped in his body- spoiler alert, he's Kaneki- and literally does NOTHING to even learn about who he was. He is so boring.
His friends are Mutsuki who's only property is being transgender and fucking annoying, a dumbass, an edgelord and a loli. The loli doesn't do shit, by the way. She just sits there playing games all day doing nothing for the plot.
There's also Juuzou, but I don't really like Juuzou that much. OP for no reason. The rest of the characters are garbage.
Enjoyment: 1/10
I didn't.
Final Score: 2.6/10, rounds to 3/10.
I don't know why I was hyped for this anime. It's garbage, really. Don't watch it. There's nothing interesting about it. It's just bad.

(SPOILERS AHEAD)
Preliminary Note:
A few things before I actually get into this review.
1st. I actually got into this anime via Galneryus, one of my favorite J-Metal bands.
2nd. This is based on the second time I watch this anime. When I originally saw this anime, I thought it was the best thing ever. However, I stopped watching it after Mario and Inc. got revenge because I felt like it ended there. Trust me, it did. Anyways, onto the actual review.
Thesis:
Rainbow is somewhat of an overrated AND underrated anime. The anime definitely evolved my taste in anime, but looking back on it, it's definitely not as good as
...
I originally thought it was. Though having a few gems, I feel that the anime was incredibly weak in some spots.
Story - 5/10
In short, the story is good after a certain point until they kill a character in which it goes down from then. SPOILERS ahead.
The 1st half of the anime had a pretty good story in my opinion. To keep things terse, 7 kids in a post-war detention center learn to get along so they can escape it. Their two main enemies are one of the prison guards, Ishihara, and the prison nurse/pedophile whose name I forgot.
3 of them eventually make it out. However, the story reaches the climax when Sakuragi dies to Ishihara and the nurse. Sakuragi is sort of the "big brother" character to the rest of the 5 kids. After he dies, the rest of the 5 plan for revenge on the two, in which they get. If the anime ended there and right there, it would've been higher for the story.
But it didn't. The second half of the story switches from a story about breaking out of a detention facility and bromance into a sort of edgy slice of life... and bromance. It's cool and all, but it wasn't what I signed up for. I feel the story feel incredibly flat, and it was sort of hard to keep interest after a while.
Art - 6/10
The art can be good in some parts, but I felt like the art overall was meh. I felt if it was much more animated than a few still frames in some places (such as the fire scene), it definitely would've been a bit more investing.
Sound - 8/10
Going back to my prelim, the reason I watched this was for Galneryus. I also got some other magnificent gems such as Dear Night Rainbow. The music was definitely a plus.
Character - 6/10
The only 7 characters with any actual depth into them are the 7 main characters. Ishihara and the nurse guy are just villains solely to be villains, and everyone else is just sort of stale in my opinion. And even then, the main characters can be stale at some parts.
Enjoyment - 5/10
During my second watch of this, it was sort of hard for me to accept it wasn't what I originally made it out to be- a masterpiece. Perhaps since I watched a whole bunch of other prestigious anime such as JoJo's and FMA:B, when I come back to this, it does give me nostalgia, but my improved tastes had made me more critical of it than I originally was.
Final Score = 6/10 (+1 for Nostalgia)
Is it a good anime? No. Is it bad? No. It's flawed at some parts and shines at others, but it evens out to make it just an okay anime. If you're relatively new to anime (or I think you just have a shit taste), I might recommended this to you. It's better than most. However, if you have a developed taste in anime, I'd suggest giving this one a pass.

Story - 9/10
I will admit. The story was a bit slow to me at first, but once I caught on to it, I binged the HELL out of it until I had nothing left to read. An awesome plot that leaves you wanting more. I was spoiled part of it, but it still had me reeling.
Art - 10/10
Of course, the art can be Duwang-ish at sometimes, but most of the time, the art is phenomenal. Araki put all of his skill into putting this out.
Character - 10/10
This section will be longer than the others. SBR has an antagonist, but it has no true villain. All
...
of the characters are doing the things they are for their own selfish reasons which allow me to understand why every character does the thing they are. Valentine was definitely the antagonist of SBR, but he wasn't anywhere near a villain. Though being the President of the Fucking United States, I tell you, I feel like his character was enjoyable every time he was on the page. I felt this with many other characters such as Johnny, Gyro, and Diego.
Enjoyment - 10/10.
Topkek entertainment.
Overall - 10/10
At first, I wondered why people said SBR is the best part of JoJo. After reading it, I see every way they are correct. Besides DIU, this is my favorite JoJo part. Definitely worth a year catching up to get to this masterpiece.
