as you can see i gave it a 10.
i’ve noticed the mixed reviews and i would like to say that this isn’t for everyone. but i think those who have a very close bond with their grandparents would agree that this show hits home. my heart broke during the end of the last episode where we pretty much watch them drift off into their end. their granddaughter notes they fell asleep and i guess you can tell where it ends off.
i’m glad that Mino eventually married her crush, Shota (i think it’s funny considering his grandpa was in love with Ine) and they
...
were able to be just like Ine and Shouzou. as soon as I saw Mino and Shota old together I ended up just breaking down and crying. I know I tried my best to hold it together when I saw Ine and Shouzo pass in their sleep but man oh man.
this show definitely hit close to home as i cherished my grandparents in the same way and so it’ll have a special place in my heart.
honestly, i absolutely adore elderly people, senator citizens, etc, and its probably due to the fact that i was raised by my grandparents. watching the end of the final episode kinda brought back those feelings i felt when my grandparents passed so i salute the creators.
the show is absolutely beautiful.
