1. It makes no sense to judge a character's development and growth based upon an incomplete piece. The first movie was never meant to be a standalone film, it is one movie out of 3. To judge Shirou's complete development based upon this one film alone would be like judging a character's entire arc based on the first 6 episodes of a 25 episode series.
2. Sakura may conform to the conventional "submissive school girl" archetype, but that in no way means she is walking fanservice. She is heavily dependent on Shirou, but that doesn't make her an uninteresting character. Despite her archetype, I still found her to be nuanced and interesting. And again, you are judging based on an incomplete arc (this is trilogy, my guy).
3. This one is largely objective, so I won't tell you you're wrong. Personally I felt the pacing was just fine, but whatever, we are all entitled to our own opinions.
4. Heaven's feel has 1 major flaw; it requires you to watch the other series in the Fate franchise in order to develop a good understanding of what's going on. Admittedly, if you didn't read the visual novel or watch any of the other shows, you will have trouble grasping the characters. That said, the character's motivations are fairly well defined. Both Shirou and Sakura, being central characters, have their motivations explored and established pretty early on in the film. And again, character motivations can take time to develop. Motivation establishment being incomplete isn't surprising here, considering it's a trilogy.
5. The start was not irrelevant. It serves as important exposition and sets Heaven' Feel up as an independent route. The beginning was quite important for building up a baseline, it wasn't just thrown in there for shits and giggles.
6. Yeah, whatever, I can't disagree with you here.
7. Wrong, just wrong. There was clear growth, I don't know how you didn't catch on.
8. So, there's character development now? I thought you said there wasn't any growth! Anyhow, Rin wasn't any more interesting imo. In fact, I found her character to be the blandest, orthodox Tsundere in the world. What about her made her interesting? We didn't see any exploration of her or her backstory in this movie, there was nothing about her that provoked intrigue.
9. Subjective argument, again I won't claim you're wrong. The plot had its faults, but in my opinion it was still enjoyable and coherent.
10. That's one trope. You've named one trope. If you wrote "too many tropes" I would expect examples of more than one.
Overall I thought your review lacked any critical value. And once more, I am 2 years late, so I don't expect anyone will see this, I just wanted to write this shit anyway. You created an entire account just to write a shitty review that lacked depth and proper analysis. Any good reviewer would be disappointed. Smh, my guy, SMH.
There are variety of reasons what made this profile particularly frustrating to read for me and I could go on forever but I'm just going to list it. However before this, I need to clear something up. To all those people saying that this profile is perfect blah blah, its not, they're biased, why? Because for a profile to be 'good', the stats should have more to them than 'Watching: 1' followed by 0, 0, 0, and 0. This profile is not one of them, and I only found out that the profile was made just for one mediocre review after reading said mediocre review. So from a person with an unbiased view (doesn't sound arrogant at all, I am always right) and is new to this profile (given that I had high hopes after reading all the hype for it) these are the flaws that made it so bad for me:
1. Watching: You left a review on the film, so I would assume you finished it. (Unless you walked out of the theater before it ended) so it should be under 'Completed'. 'Watching' should be at 0.
2. Completed: See 1. you finished F/SN-HF, so Completed should be at 1 at least.
3. You made a profile just to write a mediocre review. I mean, having done the same myself just now, it was a massive waist of time on my part. It accomplished nothing, and no one but you will read this.
Pros:
1: Served as a fun excuse to dick around on the internet.
