If you liked Gantz add

...then you might like Blood-C add

Both essentially feature the same episodic development for the majority of the anime: school life moments -> monsters appear -> extras get dismembered in a veritable fountain of blood, splatter and gore for half the episode -> main characters finally decide to fight monster and win within a few minutes -> wash rinse repeat. Blood-C has a somewhat more sensible ending, not necessarily better though.

If you liked Mushishi add

...then you might like Kino no Tabi: The Beautiful World add

Episodic nature with a detached main character, that functions more as a narrator or plot device, than a protagonist.

If you liked NHK ni Youkoso! add

...then you might like Yojouhan Shinwa Taikei add

Welcome to the NHK is far more depressing than Yojouhan Shinwa Taikei while the later adds a smidgen of bizzaro metaphysics to the later episodes. However they both revolve around a group of oddball people loafing around while helping the main character deal with the failures of his life, in their own way. Not always succesfully.
