Guilty Crown had amazing art, a captivating soundtrack, and very attractive characters. I find myself, two weeks after watching the show, still listening to the soundtrack. (Supercell is amazing.) But it lacked in all the basic things important to a show: Outstanding plot, decent character development, and a story that's easy enough to follow. As I watched the show, I was entranced by the action and the background music, but I was almost always confused by what's going on. There were too many things being thrown at me. The protag, Shuu was a bit cliched and the motives of the government were sometimes unclear.
