Im coming back to this after watching it for a second time because it's just SO GOOD (also at least for me it's been super rewatchable).

If you voted anything besides a 10 for the music, you dont deserve to live-the orchestra and piano parts are fantastic, and having the music play a critical role in influencing/reflecting the lives of the characters was an amazing and really smart directorial idea.

It was also super good at refreshing an interest in classical music and all of its beautiful ridiculous nuances.

Not to mention on TOP of all that the characters are amazing and are well rounded and developed ...

Honestly the pinnacle/benchmark for any anime. Extremely well paced, which i think is what carries it so well. There is never a dull moment, and the transitions between the serious/comedic are superb. The character development is interesting in terms of that it doesnt really focus on ed and al, but on the the people around them, and for such a large cast of supporting characters, many are extremely well developed. The plot is intricate and tight, and the artwork is simple yet elegant. The only think that im not entirely on board for is the soundtrack, which gets kind of repetitive (if you've seen it, ...

In general amazing across the board in terms of art, story, music etc. Where it falls way flat for me is the complete and total lack of character development. This is probably not the same as it is for some people, as i have read the manga and can see a little bit into the future, but literally no one changes/matures over the course of the series, especially eren. Thus, there's a disconnect for me personally where I just cant identify with or care about anyone because as people they all kinda suck.
