How can a medieval anime be similar to a modern fighting anime ? Well because they tend to be a little bit harem style, both main male characters have to increase their power/fighting skills to get to their goal. The fighting scenes are simply AMAZING! In Dungeon, the main character has to face his fear to kill his ennemy before he faces a bigger danger and in Ben-to, the main character have to fight against more powerful opponent each time. In the medieval theme of Dungeon, they uses weapon and magic and in Ben-to, they use their bare hands and legs to kick some ass. I recommend both of these animes.

Although bleach as less death, both of these animes are good. Bleach as good fighting scene with some overpowered ennemies. In both anime, the main characters has to increase his powers and abilities to beat his ennemies and they are often in bad situations risking their lives for the sake of the people they care about. Just like I said before, the fighting scenes are damn good, but you'll have to make some research about the main episodes/arcs if you don't want to see alot of fillers. In my opinion this is the only bad thing about these animes.

Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works 2nd Season

These anime can be similar because of the goal of the main characters. Let me explain. Both Emiya (fate) and Eren (Shingeki) developped some kind of power to overcome an extremely powerful opponent. Both of them have to fight for their lives and for the lives of those they care. In the end, both of them make a huge difference in their respective way. I highly recommend both of these anime as mush as the entire Fate series although fate zero can take some time to give us some good figthing scenes.
