I went into this anime with an open mind because I like couples with an age gap, but this was just uncomfortable to watch. I liked Ichika because she was sweet with a conscience, but Ryou was gross af. After 2 episodes, I thought it was okay and that I could probably get behind the fact that Ichika was a high-school student, but episode 3 grossed me out when Ryou called her cold remarks "sexier" when she was sick. Why could we have not just focused on the premise of romantic love? I feel like if the plot would have focused on this aspect rather

This anime made me laugh SO hard because I could relate to the characters! Narumi was literally the cutest, while Hirotaka was cool, calm and absolutely attractive. I love a romantic comedy anime that isn't plot-heavy and delivers a light, humorous relationship between the characters, so I found myself loving this anime so much, that I overlooked the OP and some of the background music.
I think there could have been a bit more of a meaningful connection between Narumi and Hirotaka because it really just felt like two friends forcing each other to date sometimes. However, I'd say the anime adaptation is a lot ...

This is probably one of the FUNNIEST romantic comedy anime I've watched in a long time! I have to start off with how pretty all the characters are and the way they each have quirks that make them hilarious and relatable to watch. The story was reasonably light, but the science jargon was a little excessive at times, so it took away from enjoying the romantic moments between Himuro and Yukimura. Nevertheless, I laughed till my sides hurt, sometimes pausing to take a moment to catch my breath, which is pretty damn rare! The first season was awesome, so I went into the sequel with high expectations, but was horribly let down. I'm a sucker for information-dense anime, so I didn't mind the use of economics in either season, but the fact that Holo was being sold off twice in this season just rubbed me the wrong way.
The ending was simply lacklustre and the romance was possibly the blandest thing I've ever seen. Lawrence was so pathetic and clueless at times, I questioned myself as to why I'm continuing the season. The only saving grace for the anime would probably be how nice the sounds of nature ... |
