HHHHOLY SHIT, this show is bad. I'm seeing people unironically rating this show above an 8-10 saying it's an actually good show and that it's just some dark twist of the revenge plot formula or w/e. It's genuinely pathetic to see how unapologetically degenerate anime fans can be.
There is a golden rule in writing "If your goal can be accomplished without using rape, don't use rape" the author put this rule into a cannon and shot it to the fucking moon.
Shows like "Goblin slayer" use rape in a really simple way "Goblins rape woman, goblins really bad and deserve to be eradicated"
...
it demonizes the goblins and beyond just "its fantasy world so obviously they bad" and gives us a reason to sympathize and understand our protagonist's inhuman levels of pure hatred for the goblins.
redo healer uses rape to be edgy, plain and simple.
This is the new Boku no pico meme, this is the type of shit you recommend just so u can make others days worse. I can not stress enough how bad this series is.

This is not a standard revenge plot, this is straight-up just some low effort revenge rape porn plot. The story exists so that Keyaru has an "excuse" to rape the woman (not good woman, sure but that's not an excuse for the author or those that enjoy this) in the show. There is no message, there is nothing to take away from the story.

everyone is unlikeable. When the protagonist of a show, the person you are supposed to be supportive of and want to see their story, when he can be quoted saying "choose which rod, this rod or my rod" while holding a fire poker, forcing the girl to pick his "rod", because she doesn't want a flaming hot fire poker shoved inside of her you stop giving the viewer anyone to support or like. (also in the light novel he does it anyway.... so yea.)

I opened this shows Mal page because I was sure that this show was going to universally hated (and for the most part it is) but after seeing people actually writing reviews to defend the show (i know some are just trolls calling it a masterpiece because as I mentioned previously, this is the new boku no pico) I decided to write this, call it petty if you wish but I believe if I convince even 1 person to not watch this show, I'm doing something good.
For those with the argument that "it's just fiction, it's not real" I ask then, where is the enjoyment from then? it's fun to watch people torture and rape each other just because "oh they are not real", that all of a sudden the act of rape/torture is perfectly fine or even supported if it's a story?
This show is just edgy shock value trash, and the fans are just pathetic degenerates who watch it for the sake of it being edgy, so they can feel superior by calling anyone who doesn't like it "weak" or "sensitive" or "a baby"
You want a revenge plot? just go watch shield hero again, its not a masterpiece but dear lord does it at least have people you can actually like and support.
This is by far one of the worst pieces of animated fiction you could possibly spend your time watching.
