It was one of the first anime i ever watched , and back then it seemed great, the memories r still good , some things were annoying even back then...

1. Lead male character - tuxedo mask seems underdeveloped . It seems sailor moon has to always fight to be with him. each season has a break up and its always tuxedo's fault and sailor moon has to struggle and suffer to get him back in the last episodes of each season. So yeah leaves u with a wish to see more manly hero

2. I really dislike weird facial expressions , and there r way ... to much made by sailor moon. so really enjoyable r final battles of each season where lead character gets serious and strong

I bet if it was created now the animation and music would be way better but hey for that time it was good :)

Just recently i watched Hiiro no Kakera and a thought came in my mind - its a lot like sailor moon but without male character flaws , good story, fight scenes, no silly facial expressions , romance plus great animation and music :)
Think about it both main couples appear to have a romantic history in their past life, female lead is a princess who has to sacrifice herself but finds a way to fix everything and stays alive, and both female leads befriends a group and makes them all stronger, supportive of each other and guardians become friends

Still a lovely show though. If u r feeling nostalgic - u should totally rewatch it

I will start my review by telling that WHR was the first anime i watched that didnt have stupid facial expressions ( which i dislike deeply) , so for that only it will always be one of my favorites . Soundtracks r amazing , dark, sad or simply innocent and always feet perfectly to the scene's mood.

Animation is great , simply great . Characters dont look alike like in some other animes where u can switch clothes and hairstyle and characters will remain the same . Architecture is very good too.

As for the characters - i'd give them 8 out of 10. They didnt get ... 10 from me for a few reasons :

1. some relations between characters could have been more developed: for example some would see that appearing romance was implied in Robin/ Amon relations , but it was never shown . We get to find out only few character background stories, but it doesnt effect the storyline much, so its ok.

2. the ending could be more informative - as 26 episodes were all there ever going to be , it didnt make much sense to keep viewers guessin

Other then that - great anime, awesome music and artwork and overall great anime to watch

I will be honest , i like anime without silly facial expressions and it has to be really good to have them in , so this anime attracted me with the lack of those creepy expressions that annoy me .

Story is pretty simple but its really nice to watch and even rewatch. I'll explain why :
1 great artwork ( it is important for me and i wouldnt care about great storyline as its usually claimed to be by "one piece" fans . crappy artwork means i wont give anime a chance)
2 character does have happy ending and romance (unlike neo angelique abyss where ... lead char doesnt develop actual relations with any of lead males and ends up far away from friends)
3 anime does have clear ending , which i was really missing in witch hunter robin ( dont get me wrong i love that anime but i also like seeing happy endings ^_^ )

as for its flaws - both seasons do start off somewhat slowly , and powering up by a princess takes tones of time. i wish she was stronger and used powers during the whole series instead of wishing she had them.

i think this anime would be a great thing to watch for people who like art, magic powers , romance and happy ending :)
