Yu Yu Hakusho is a delight & wonderful, while it has issues which I will detail below in the semi-spoiler section. I did not watch this growing up so I did not have any nostalgia towards the series & am reviewing it fresh in 2020 can sometimes be harsh for a series that started in 1992, however it surpassed my expectation in many areas (& let the momentum & story down in others).

I can't believe I have to give this a 10, but this season is objectively better than the preceding two & they were solid 9's to begin with.
I really liked the previous two seasons however this season is kicks it up a gear in that some characters have to get more introspective on what they really want from life. As well as their place in the world & who you want/wish to spend your precious life hours with (more so even than last season). It gets real & complicated in a way that the other two didn't & feels more like a lived in ... |
