Have you seen the Digimon movie? Then you've already seen this movie. I have no clue how other reviewers miss this in their high praises of this film. The whole plot from start to finish is an exact carbon copy of the Digimon Movie.
The whole time I was watching I just couldn't stop wondering how on earth they didn't get sued for plagiarism. I was really appalled. Especially after this film was so highly recommended too.
Here's the plot in a nutshell:
An internet virus in the form of a digital monster (digimon) takes over the internet (digimon the movie) and it's up to a
...
select few teenagers (digidestined) to enter the digital realm (the digiworld) and use their own digital avitars (also digimon) to defeat it in combat (digimon battle). But when the not digimon digital monster hacks into government servers and takes control of the United States Nuclear Defense (just like on Digimon the movie), the stakes are raised. Can they save the world on time?
For reals. Everyone is giving it like 9/10. Watch the Digimon movie BEFORE you watch this. You'll see. It's plagiarism at its finest.
