Skyla is doing well! She's looking for work right now which I think is frustrating her a bit but overall she's good. She got a cat like 4 years ago named Ghost, and actually last month I adopted a cat of my own, so now we are a four adult and two cat household lol. Yes, that sounds like the perfect spot for you! Where we live is kind of similar in that we are as north in Seattle as you can possibly be, so we are a bit outside the city but there is still lots around here, which is fun. Are you working as a manager at Starbucks still? I think you mentioned that you would be getting transferred. And I hear Thailand is beautiful; I would love to go someday! I have been missing travelling for sure; I used to take trips to England to see my previous boyfriend who lives there, and what I miss most about him is getting to see England every summer haha.
Yes! Fruits Basket is surprisingly hurtful in the feels XD I do hear that the remake touches even more on that than the original. I always thought it was an anime you would probably love. I have like 15 volumes of the manga ion physical because Skyla's friend was giving them away but I haven't read it yet. I am sure that I will like Demon Slayer; ufotable makes me happy always with their anime and most people in general have bad taste when it comes to favorite characters in shounen, or in shounen in general, so I am sure I'll like the characters a lot too. After all, I have spent years defending Sakura as a character even though she makes very questionable choices lol. Yona of the Dawn is one I recommend the manga for a lot as well because the anime hasn't gotten a new season even though the last season was years ago, and the manga is supposed to be very good, so I hope they continue the anime because the first episode had me like this is dumb but then after that I was so hooked lmao. It's like... it's refreshing I think. We'll have to chat about it when you see it for sure.
I would love recommendations! I have Assassination Classroom on my watch list so I do definitely wanna get around to it; I hear great things. Jujutsu Kaisen is one my boyfriend told me about, it's a shounen with sorcery right? Why is shounen just so objectively the best genre XD anyway, I will keep it in mind for sure. You can't go wrong with rewatching good ones though, I am rewatching Naruto for the 80th time in my life and every episode feels brand new even though I can practically quote them all at this point lmao. It's hard these days, it's not like it used to be when Naruto was super popular. Now it's not cool anymore, and I have no one to talk to about it for hours which is very hard for me. XD Shounen these days is just so different than it used to be.
Yeah, I finally made it here! I live in Seattle now, with Skyla, Tom, and my boyfriend, Sam. I do love it; still trying to figure things out, but overall it's going well! You're in Colorado these days right? Have you been loving it there?
Glad you're loving the remake; I am super excited to watch it. The original impressed me so much more than I expected, so I'm very pumped for the remake, and I feel like it's really up your alley as a series overall! The manga is cute too if you ever wanna read it. AOT is definitely an investment but it gets a lot deeper than just like gore so it's pretty great. As for Fate, I recommend starting with Fate/Zero. That's the prequel. And then UBW and Heaven's Feel are two alternate paths after Zero, so the order there doesn't matter. Same with Stay Night but... I haven't watched Stay Night because it's a different studio and apparently not that great. But some people love it. So those three are just alternate paths after Zero. Some people say not to start with Zero but I disagree because it gives you a lot of context for the other series. I just put Demon Slayer on my list actually, and I am really looking forward to watching it. It has been a long time since I've really gotten into another shounen and it's my favorite genre so I am nervous because I wanna like it, but really looking forward to it. Yona of the Dawn and Accel World were definitely both dark horses for me, but they really exceeded my expectations so you'll have to tell me if you end up feeling the same someday.
Also, if you ever have any recommendations for me, I would gladly take them, because I was in and out of the anime scene for a bit there, but I want to get back on it more, and I definitely know you and I have always had very similar taste lmao :)
Hi there! Sorry I took so long to get these recommendations to you; I moved to Washington and it happened a lot faster than we expected, and of course I've been busy and blah blah. But I did try and think of some anime you might like! You already have some of these on your planned to watch list I think, but Fruits Basket is one I think you would appreciate! I've only watched the original series so far but I plan on watching the remake eventually. I can say that the original is great though. I think you would like Attack on Titan for sure, it's so bingeable and the later seasons get wild. Accel World is the best isekai I've ever seen for sure if you want to try another one of those. I don't think you have Yona of the Dawn on your radar but if you do, that one surprised me at how much I loved it! And Fate/Zero and Fate/UBW, as well as Fate/Heaven's Feel are always good action ones, the animation is so good. It git me obsessed with the Fate/Grand Order game too lol. Sorry if that's too many, and I have a lot more of course, but seems like you've been finding plenty of good series lately too! :) Hope you're doing well!
That's the way of anime haha. Happy to hear it though! Let me know if you ever want any recommendations or anything, I'm always around.
Thank you, I think of you often too. :)
