It's hard to explain, but something just seems similar between these two anime. Maybe it's the atmosphere, the characters, or even just the same genre...I recommend Pandora Hearts for anyone who enjoyed D.Gray Man, and vice versa.

The stories to me are similar, while not plotwise, but they both focus on love and war, and the drawings are similar. Either way, if you liked Red River, you'd love Basara, and vice versa.

The storylines are very similar, as is the animation. Even the two main characters seem to be very much alike.

Well, both the main character's names start with "k"...anyway, the characters are drawn in the same kawaii style, and both main characters have someone they like, but that changes throughout the series.

Both the main characters have low self esteem, and by transforming, they learn more about themselves; who they were, and who they could be. If you enjoyed one, you'd enjoy the other kawaii series.

Both manga have the same basic storyline, with the girl crossdressing as a boy (although one was willing and the other was forced), sharing a dorm room with a guy, and well, see what happens.

Both series take place in an all girls school, and although one of the main characters is a guy, the storyline seems similar.

Both series feature the main character turning into a "phantom" thief to steal objects of value for the greater good of the world. In actuality, Kamikaze Kaito Jeanne is like the female version of D.N.Angel.

If you liked The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, you would find Higurashi no Naku Koro ni to be quite similar, as the atmosphere in both series is the same. Both series start off very ordinary as the characters go through their normal school lives, but as the series progresses, the plotline goes from boring and ordinary to quite fascinating and extraordinary. The whole genre of these two series is practically identical, so I would recommend Higurashi no Naku Koro ni and its sequel, Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai, for anyone who enjoys mystery and a litte horror, and anyone who had fun watching The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.
