I go almost every year, lol. I teach panels there called "How to Draw Yaoi" and "How to Draw Yuri," as well as "Making Manga" :D If you want to go next year, I am always looking for hotel-room-mates!

I think people are just really unwilling, a lot of times, to try to imagine life from someone else's point of view. And it's really sad. One of the best things I have learned in life is that I am not wrong, and I am not right. Meaning that there are many ways to live and many perspectives to consider, and there is zero point to trying to elevate your life/lifestyle above other people's. (Unless their lifestyle is harmful to themselves or others, in which case I recommend against getting involved in it, but try not to sit in judgement.)

Because your relationship is valid, no matter what they say, so be strong in your convictions because it is part of you. :D

I read a lot of materials on sexuality because I find human relationships interesting, and asexuality is just another color of the spectrum and people just need to accept that. You were right when you compared what they were saying to homophobia; their statements were VERY problematic.

Audition is awesome!! It's one of my favorites, although I think my top Miike film is Happiness of the Katakuris. Have you ever seen Marebito? (It's by the director of Ju-On, and I fuckin love it.)

I just want to say that asexual relationships are every bit as valid as other kinds of relationships and fuck those people who are too ignorant to accept it.

I know it's hard to keep explaining it to others, but the more you build awareness for it, the better life can be for yourself and others like you. Keep fighting the good fight. <3
