The series ran quite almost perfectly at the first half.
I enjoyed all of the episodes though but the thing is the revenge plot.
It didn't feel that it will happen.
The feeling that you will finally see his revenge.

The plot felt like Makabe was really serious in falling in love with Aki.
You wouldn't even sense the revenge plot anymore, instead it was almost serious romance.
I loved how they put a comedy on it. It worked at least in some segments.

Well wrapping up this short review.
The story didn't pick up yet on what it is supposed to take. I still enjoyed it though because of the comedy. It ... just needs to move further.
Art is good. No issue with that

Characters is not that bad. Yoshino saves it.
I enjoyed it overall but it was just missing something.
I hope they're gonna do better in season 2.

A special episode of Chuunibyou S2

On the first place, I thought it was just one of those specials where they fight using their powers, guess not.

Well, this was a short continuation after S2.
For me this episode just successfully filled up few portion of what was missing on S2 and yes it was the progress.

The progress of their relationship moved quite a bit. The short fight between Rikka and Yuuta caused a progress basing on how the fight ended. It was cute though.
...
This episode would relieve some of the hates of the S2 because this is where the progress began to emphasize.

The story is good. The art is good, sound is good.
Characters are good.
I enjoyed the episode as a whole.
However, it still doesn't end here.
We still need that season 3. Let's see what the studio wants to do with it.

This 2nd season of Chuunibyou series might be disappointing to other people but for me it wasn't that bad at all.

The development of relationship of Rikka and Yuuta didn't move forward that much but still the romance was still there. This might be an opening for another season where there will be more development of the characters, not just Yuuta and Rikka, but also we might see more of Kumin and Isshiki. Add Dekomori and Nibutani on that.

I enjoyed the whole series because there is still "cute" element right there, especially when Rikka still wears that "Wicked Eye". The battle sequence through the flow ... of the story just colors up the mood of the series, even though Rikka should've already changed after Season 1. But it is still about Chuunibyou syndrome, right?

Believe it or not, this series really made me happy on my life on how do I deal with my sadness. I hope some people see that.

As a conclusion, the whole series was great for me. The only thing that was lacking is character development. The series was cute and funny. Battle scenes were still badass. I hope there will be more of that.

I hope KyoAni makes season 3 for this. We just need to wait for a while. I would love to see the progress movement of the characters. I know "that ending" would like to indicate that there will be more of it. Welcome aboard to those who are waiting for season 3! Rikka is love!
