I'm usually not that good when it comes to writing reviews about stuff, because I tend to think more than twice before spilling out a couple of sentences to help me explain why I like what I like. In this review I'll try my best no to spoil anything for you (the first time viewers of this kickass anime).
Let's begin from the start, shall we?
Enter Mikado Ryugamine, a simple kind of guy who wishes to move to Ikebukuro in order to catch up with his buddy Masaomi Kida. It's interesting at first because the show really wants you to get involved in
...
the life of these two. You're like, oh okay. Let's follow these guys around, see where they end up. Then, all of a sudden. BAM! You're hit with a ton of bricks when Anri Sonohara comes into the scene. She's this overall "erotically cute", as Mikado refers to her, girl. Again i'm trying my best not to give you any spoilers.
Also there's this guy, Izaya Orihara, who's basically The Devil once you get to know him better as the story progresses from chapter to chapter. There's not much I can say without POTENTIAL SPOILERS, so I'm sorry if I failed in trying to get you to watch this anime.
This anime is really unique when it comes to storytelling, because it can tell you, like, ten things at once, confuse you, then explain them all to you and tell you how they all connect with each other and how it all makes sense in the end. I'm planning on watching this anime for a second time after I've finished reading the manga.
And yeah, I gave this motherfucker a big ol' 10.
