Durarara!!

Gintama follows a parody style while keeping true to its plot. It has magnificent world and character building and it allows the watcher to feel a variety of emotions through the episodes. Though it usually presents heavy subjects it does so in a lighthearted manner. Durarara follows a similar approach. It is not a parody anime however it takes on a lighthearted atmosphere to present heavy subjects (such as suicide, gang violence, etc.). It can be confusing at times but it is an incredible anime worth watching.
