The only time I've gone t100 I think I used almost 500 hearts in total (though I did overshoot and end up almost in top 10 lol)
Maybe I'll give the t500 stuff a try soon though, happily I don't care for the prizes this time but if my beloved Kenshin <3, Kyo, Hotaru or Ieyasu (or shingen or Shige, I have waaay too many favourites) are involved, it's a different story...XD

Now for the ranking method: WARNING: This is probably gonna be ALOT so mentally prepare urself & just bear with me please
First u need to figure out what timing suits u...
Join as soon as E starts so people can send u requests & some people tryst randomly (with people other than their e-allies) so just by joining early on u get a boost from random people make sure to save ur free hearts from 4hrs before E starts so u can use them in starting fever...
Kitty has set alarms every 5hrs & I just have a habit of logging in after a couple of hrs so we make sure to use all our free hearts (my crappy sleeping routine allows me to use all 24 free hearts per day XD) there are other girls who have money so they don't have to worry about all this stuff this is just for penniless broke people like us LOL
Anyways back on topic Kitty goes high up early during starting fever than stays there in case she doesn't get to play cuz of her busy routine but the problem with that is mostly allies don't join early cuz of whatever reasons so u can get stuck at TLP chkpts as they're crazy high that's where my method kicks in I go slow early on gauging the competition for almost half of the E till the 2nd personal fever after that everyone gets their fevers at the same time so there isn't much difference whereas if you're in t100 after ur personal fever u might drop below t300 in a few hrs cuz people who get their personal fever after urs can estimate how much they need to cross u & get into ranking so they'll do just that so I like using my saved hearts after we're done with personal fevers & sometime it gives me an idea of competition & if I feel like I don't have enough resources I can just aim for a lower tier or just not rank at all instead of going all out early on burning my stocks then fall out cuz of shortage..
Speaking of.. for t500 anywhere from 15-30 energy(7-15 hearts) are enough if u use them wisely & use ur free hearts too
50-75 energy for t300 (25-40 hearts approx) & 150+ energy for t100 (75+ hearts) this is an approximation from all the Es I've ranked in so far if u want I can link my stat sheet for u too so u can see exact figures!!
When I'm going for t300 & t500 I always come out with more hearts than I originally had which is the opposite for t100
Also make sure to scout before E if u plan to rank cuz sometime people reserve e-ally spots before E so u don't get good ranking allies as they've all their spots reserved so you're forced to take up random allies who might not be ranking and we all know going above the required 7k is a bi@tch and if u just use ur free hearts till the middle of E then you'll have a large margin between ur & required TLP so u can easily just pass by all chkpts and through stories with no more than required 7k
Even when you're not ranking try finding allies who tap/read till the end cuz if allies stop midway then again clearing chkpts becomes impossible...
and do the same urself, read/tap through stories over & over to get free hearts/closet that way u won't have to spend pearls for extra closet space afterall we need all the pearls we can get^^
Make sure to go up extra high towards the end if u feel like u won't be able to play during the final hrs For instance my Es start at 8am i'm usually up at that time for Uni so I can monitor the final hrs of E so I just use the right amount of heart whereas Kitty's Es start at 12pm (12.30 during daylight saving) that's lunch time or she sometimes is just busy with work so she goes up high to be safe even if she doesn't get to play (I'm really sorry if i'm repeating myself it's midnight & my awful sleeping routine is chiping away at my sanity LOL) anyways she tries to stay in t20-30 when she's going t100 same for other tiers cuz at the last moment everyone is trying to get into t100 (or whatever tier it is) but no one will try to get into t20-30 so going that high u only drop 5-10 ranks after hours!!
And try saving the points u get when others take u to tryst for the end accept them at the last minute it'll give u an extra boost & will make u jump up a few ranks and it'll be difficult for others to cross that gap at the last moment...
Also try avoiding hearts as much as possible for eg. if u have 6975 pts than instead of wasting a heart ask one of ur allies to give u a tryst which will give u 25pts exactly what u need so u wont waste 225pts (or 475 in fevers) similarly if you're stuck at a TLP chkpt when u already have 7k story pts & all ur hearts haven't replenished then just wait till ur hearts are replenished fully u might have enough pt to cross chkpt by then so u don't have to go above 7k even if u don't get enough pts to cross chkpt just use one heart & wait another hr use one heart again if u still don't hve enough pts I know it's time consuming but efficient nonetheless ;P
In large SEs with 6 lords we get 11 ally slots (we get 5 initially than extra slots equal to the number of characters in that SE) and with that many slots even if someone's ranking they'll still have capacity for some non rankers try getting on their team as they're going for ranking so their high pts will give ur tlP a big push so u won't get stuck !!
Huuuuuuuh I think I covered up everything but I might've forgotten sth so if I remember anything else i'll let u know I'm not saying any of these methods will work for u but ur routine is somewhat similar to mine so try seeing if u can adjust to my method or try kitty's if that suits u no guarantee one of these will be ur ideal method so try figuring what suits u by experimenting you'll def find a method that suits u it might include using more hearts than necessary or setting alarms or sth else but you'll get there just give it some time :}
And sorry it must've been a lot but thanks for bearing with me i'm glad u joined MAL & I didn't have to write all this in gazillion small msgs on ur chat board it'd be even more than 10 pages XDXD

Makoto was just a sweetie from the beginning, and an absolutely incredible friend to Haru. Still have no idea what Haru (who always seemed like a water-obsessed brat to me) did to deserve such amazing friends and rivals, but there you go...
