Cowboy Bebop. I was pretty late to the party in watching this series but my my was it completely worth it. Cowboy Bebop is not your run of the mill westernised anime about space ships and guns. It is something much more. Let's find out why.
The story is set in 2071, when the Earth has become polluted beyond repair and the Human Race has colonized most of the Solar System.
The story begins with our protagonist Spike Spiegel, who's a bounty hunter, subtly looking for his bounty on Mars like its just another day at the job. What's

interesting is the fact that nothing very significant happens in the first episode. Yet, it manages to convey things in such an impeccable fashion that I was simply blown away by it. The fight choreography was top notch, the animation/art style was fluid and captivating and the writing was nothing short of astounding. It is one of those series' which take you into a completely different world when you're watching it but at the same time, there's this feeling of familiarity.
Sound:
Of course, I couldn't possibly call it a fair review if I don't talk about how amazing the sound is. The music choice is great. It is able to encapsulate the vibes of the scenes in an unparalleled fashion.
The OP and ED were also really good.
The series continues in an episodic fashion in which the two members of the Bebop(Spike and his teammate Jet) get acquainted with more people along the way, for the better or worse. Most of the series just comprises the Bebop going on adventures and chasing their bounties. But as we witness this story with them, we learn about the characters that there's much more to them than meets the eye. You can't help get attached to the characters as the story progresses.
This is a series which gave me chills by the end of every episode. Legitimate chills. It is very thought provoking and the finale was nothing less than a masterpiece. I recommend watching this series without a second thought as it has a little bit of something for everyone.
