Hellsing (Manga) add
Preliminary (42/92 chp)
Just finished it. Here's my thought. That's right. One thought:
DAMN.

The first five books are build up - and the last five are just nothing but action: non-stop, ridiculous, bloody, violent, glorious fight scenes. Okay, so there are some odd touching moments, times of regret and sadness, confusion, heart-stopping, shattering disbelief... And all through it, blood, blood, blood and teeth.
And some bullets. Some really BIG guns.

Okay, a few things. The story is top notch. My beef is the art. Which is crazy I know - but that's the thing. It gets so hectic and detailed, that sometimes it's hard to determine what's going on. ...

I began this anime in curiosity. I had no idea what it was. Didn't know what it was about, didn't even know it was on my computer.
A friend had been moving things on the network and had accidentally left the first season on my comp one day.

The first episode was amusing. A black hole? In the toilet? If anything, that was what hooked me in for the rest of the episodes... all 78 of them...

At first the season started light, silly, ecchi and fun. In the latter half though things got serious, and complicated.

The characters were a lot of fun, the action both animation wise and story were very fast. Great animation actually.

It seemed liked a lot of fast talking and story cramming went on in the last four episodes compared to the rest of the season.

Complicated or no, with a few new revelations and fast loyalty switches, the ending was a blast. Literally.

It wrapped up quite nicely, and looks to be an excellent start to the anime.

Well worth watching for a laugh and some just sheer, "They wouldn't?" ...
