It's like cringe . . . who watches this!
- In the words of Hayao Miyazaki: "anime was a mistake." I think this anime fulfills the wording of Miyazaki, and I think I truly understand what he meant in this moment. It lacks any real plot or intellectual basis that makes it a credible show. It's allegedly called a shounen, but it's just utter dogs*t. It was a mistake for this show to be made, and for anyone that gives it more than a 1, go to confession and get your sins forgiven. JK for that last sentence, but this show utterly sucks.
I am
...
disappointed in everyone that rated this a 5 or more.

Dear Violet Evergarden,
I have dearly loved all your works, and I truly wish Kyoto Animation so much love and admiration for helping to depict your beautiful story for us in the form of an anime series, and also for this movie that finally concludes your enthralling journey. I dearly loved this story of Violet Evergarden, and while it may be a bit painful to say goodbye, we all are happy that you finally reunite with Gilbert. Altogether, I sincerely wish you well, as a work that I will never forget.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I had to pen this short letter of mine to a series that I
...
dearly love. As you can tell, I am still a bit awestruck after finishing this astounding film in a theater. It was marvelous, and the atmosphere helped to enhance this already tremendous film to new heights. As you can tell, I deeply loved the movie, and here is my review explaining my score of a 9.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Story: 9
- This element of the film was amazing, but there were definitely some moments where the plot remained quite coherent, but flashbacks and interwoven scenes detached the story to a limited degree. These elements in no way hampered the entire story as a whole, which was lovely. We see Violet Evergarden, a former child soldier, now embarking on her own emotional journey, where she realizes her feelings for a man that allowed her a life filled with dignity. Her growth shown in this film was immaculate, and I enjoyed every moment of it. I just loved the story, and regardless of some minor flaws, I had to give this story a near-perfect score.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Art: 10
- I was in awe of the art. Kyoto Animation has left me breathless time and time again, and this is no exception. It was brilliant, and for any of my fellow movie viewers, that ending sequence was just perfect. It was bombastic, like a huge explosion of glee and joy to mark the end of this glorious series, but it was also tranquil, acknowledging the peace and underlying nuances that brought us to the end of Violet's story. It was majestic and perfect.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sound: 10
- It perfectly complements the art. It perfectly complements every scene that it accompanies. Evan Call outdid himself with the music. It was majestic, explosive, soothing, and ultimately, it perfectly ended this series as a whole. There is nothing to be said of the music other than perfect!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Character: 10
- Violet Evergarden was depicted so beautifully in this film. It delved into the human soul and evoked some real feelings within me. As mentioned above, she was a child soldier that simply viewed herself as a tool. Yet, as shown in the anime series, she was able to slowly ingratiate herself and began a new stage of her life as an Auto Memory Doll. She helped to bring joy, solace, and all-around positivity into the lives of everyone she entered. Her letters evoked emotions from people similar to us anime fans. We all have our own personal stories, but expressing our feelings clearly can make all the difference. This is applicable to Violet as well, but Gilbert, the sole person who helped to bring meaning into her life, was dead for years now. She loves him, and this feeling always resided in her heart, but it did take time for her to realize what these feelings meant. She grew as a person, and as a human being. This development shines in this film, where she shows emotions and even without words, her character is expressed so clearly. She is such a nuanced person, and it was amazing to see her in this film for the final time.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Enjoyment/Overall Take
- If you could not tell from my remarks above, I loved this film with all my heart. I entered the movie theater as an excited man, and I left the movie theater as a crying man. Well, that part may have been exaggerated, but I know for fans all across the world, this film resonated with all of us. I enjoyed watching our cast banter and rave together as a crew at CH Postal Company, and I enjoyed Violet Evergarden's personal growth as well. I also enjoyed the side stories that were interwoven into this film, which ultimately served as emotional vessels, but also thoughtful leeways to innovation and communication of feelings. It was so beautifully done, and I would never change it. I also enjoyed Violet and G*****t's screentime together. It was so heartfelt, and I nearly teared up at certain moments. The music during these interactions was just incredible, which everyone can attest to. Overall, my enjoyment was a 10, 10, 10!
- Overall, this film was a fitting finale to the story of Violet Evergarden. There were minor blemishes that led to my final score being a 9, but in my heart, this film is beyond a doubt a 10. I found everything about this film surreal, with the art and environments, but also the plot and character growth. All these elements were interconnected and helped to weave a conclusion that was fitting and undeniably touching. It touched everyone in the theater, and it touched all Violet Evergarden fans around the world. We saw Violet mature, grow, and find meaning through all the series and subsequent movies. This movie was the final testament of all this maturity reaching its final pinnacle, and I don't want to spoil anything big, but seeing Violet ball her eyes out was touching. She held it in for so long, thinking that G*****t was dead. Yet, he was alive, and this feeling that resided in her heart blossomed into a magnificent flower. It was stunning to see their relationship reach its final destination, and that fitting pinky promise between them sealed the deal. I was enthralled by Violet Evergarden, and may never feel this way for another anime series ever again. This may be a bit corny, but I will pen a final letter as a personal farewell for myself to this series.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear Violet Evergarden,
I was enthralled, overjoyed, and invested in your story from beginning to end. As fans, we saw you grow and mature so much as a person. The timeless messages and themes that you highlighted were touching, and the emotional stories that you were able to convey through letter writing and storytelling were a sight to behold. We all loved and enjoyed every second of your presence on screen, and even though this film will serve as the final work with your presence, you will always remain ingrained in our hearts. To Kyoto Animation, you all worked so hard building yourselves up after that heartbreaking fire, and seeing your work pay off infinite times over is fitting. You guys deserve all the awards you can get! To fellow Violet fans, this was a journey that we never will forget. Finally, to Violet Evergarden, I would just like to express my gratitude and wish you well. You deserve this fitting conclusion, and let me make a pinky promise with you.
"I will never forget all the feelings that you gave me throughout the series and movies. It is something I am thankful for, and I will never forget your impact on me ever! I attest that I will rewatch all your works again someday, so be warned, I may tear up all over again. Altogether, it was an amazing journey to watch you, and farewell, to the Doll that changed the lives of everyone!"
Sincerely, a Violet Evergarden fan

I get it. I get the critical tone that this series has received over the course of its run. I get it. However, I don't quite understand how people simply judge this show based on its merits as an adaptation, when we really should be critiquing it based on how it is as an anime series. Before we start, I have to mention that yes, I am a manga reader of "A Promised Neverland." It was incredible, and there are amazing arcs that enthralled me. Now, back to this anime (Season 2), it obviously couldn't fit all the arcs of a manga in 11 episodes.
...
I find it a bit overblown that people were expecting a faithful adaptation of 100's of chapters. It was not very plausible, but I get the frustration from some about how the directors of this show skipped some incredible arcs. Trust me, I get it! Yet, again, I have to reiterate that people expecting a faithful adaptation, and are now judging this show based on these expectations are quite ludicrous. This is not me arguing that somehow this show was a masterpiece, but in essence, this show is a fine series that has great music, an interesting plot, and some aspects of the manga condensed into this 11 episode series. Altogether, the directors did a fine job with this series, so I will go ahead and explain my grade of an 8/10 for this series.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Story: 6
- I have to admit, that the story of this show was the weakest edge. This was the opposite of Season 1, since it was adapted from the manga, which had a strong story in general. It was obvious that the author wanted to go in a different direction with the anime, and since it was 11 episodes, I found it to be the correct decision. In essence, trying to cram in the arcs that people so desired in an 11 episode show might possibly have garnered this show more critical reviews if not executed properly. It just seems to be logical for the author to go in a different direction, and in turn, the season 2 show provided an original story that incorporated some elements of the original manga. It was a bit saturated, with the basics of some fundamental pivotal moments in the manga to be incorporated, but overall, with how much was cut out, the directors were able to create a coherent show that was able to fundamentally include the core themes of sacrifice, leadership, and the value of family into this story. However, the emotional weight and impact was lessened by quite a degree, which is undoubtedly because of the cut characters and arcs that helped to bolster such acclaim for the manga series to begin with. I was still disappointed, but overall, I was still engaged with the story, so oh well, even if it's a 6, there are good traits to this show as well.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Art: 9
- It was pleasant to the eyes, and overall, the atmosphere for me was great.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sound: 10
- The OP was just incredible....................It was awesome!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Character: 7
- Emma was my favorite character from Season 1, and she still is my favorite character in Season 2. I loved her principled worldview, and her idealism, even with how unrealistic it seems, always provides hope for her family and helps herself in reaching for her dreams. This feeling permeates towards the rest of Emma's family. I loved Ray, Norman, Don, Gilda, and all the other family members that helped to create a superb unit. I always loved them together, and even Mujika and the other friendly devils helped in trying to weave the compelling narrative to be more impactful. Again, these elements are included in the manga to a much greater degree, which is undeniable. However, in an anime series, it did a great job with incorporating likable characters and trying to portray their survival in a brave new world filled with hardships and danger. Overall, these characters were fine.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Enjoyment: 9
- What Can I Say? I loved the manga, and I love this show. It's fine, and it weaves an original story that seems reminiscent in certain areas of the manga, but it tries to weave its own narrative that I found to be enthralling and compelling (to a certain degree). It was not a perfect show, but I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It will not cater to everyone, which certainly does not apply to those disgruntled manga readers that felt disappointed, which I sympathize with to a certain degree, but after that, I feel that these criticisms are just absurd. It was an enjoyable show, and for those scared, I found this show to be fine. It wasn't great, but it's one of the more interesting shows in this season. It certainly is not as good as its previous season, but it holds up as an original story.
- Final Verdict: It's a fine show that may not be perfect or live up to expectations. Yet, as an original story, it has the core themes of the original manga. Overall, it's a fine show that people can enjoy, regardless of being a manga reader or not!

For Mardock Scramble, a 7.5 is the correct score. This means I technically rate this an 8 personally, but for review purposes, I would have it more so as a 7. Mardock is a show that I watched, back-to-back-back, and it was enjoyable. It was not exactly in the thought-provoking department, as my attempts to understand some of the plot and dialogue (aka "how the world even works"), went poorly. Yet, regardless of understanding, I was able to watch with the three movies, three hours of an engaging story of someone's redemption arc to reclaim their life.
--------------------
Story-wise, this movie was progressing in a linear
...
fashion from the past two movies, which, give or take, was comprehendible. To be blunt, this is a story of revenge, which makes the standard fundamental core of the story quite cliched. I think that the science elements and futuristic flare give this movie more of a leg to stand on, but there weren't many elements that make this show stand out specifically in the revenge genre. However, as an anime, this show stands up pretty well, as even if there are some confusing elements, you can disregard most of that commentary and still enjoy the story. I really loved the arc of the characters in the casino, since it's something I haven't seen in anime, and was pretty entertaining.
---------------------
The art was great!
---------------------
Music was great!
---------------------
Characters were a bit bland, and that goes for the past two movies as well. This is not inherently a bad thing, as I liked all the characters. They were just not as well-developed, which made my attachment to them a bit wonky, but alas, I did feel engaged enough to want them to survive and flourish.
--------------------
Enjoyment was at an all time high for me. I will be honest and say that I enjoy animes based on feelings, and then I do analysis of components later, which, as you know, is based on how I would personally rate it. I liked this series, even with its glaring flaws. It had gorgeous visuals, and I was engaged. There is nothing more to it than that. If you have a show that appeals to you, and even with flaws, you still like it. In the end, it will be a show that you will always remember and have on your lists.
---------------------
Overall, it's a 7. Not a bad score, just an acknowledgement of some issues relating to it. For all you readers, I would say to go try it yourselves. Some elements are hit-or-miss, but for me, a sci-fi world with a revenge twist, and some characters that are likeable enough satisfies me greatly. Try it, and if you like it, great! If not, oh well, I respect that too! This was just a chill review on my part as a casual viewer of shows, so my opinion may not be the will of god, but hey, as a fellow peer, this show was fine, so try it!

I will have to say, that for me personally, Shinkai's previous work, "Your Name", was much better than this film. "Tenki no Ko" is by no means a bad film, but I just really liked his previous film a bit more. However, that is not what this review is about. I would rate this film an 8, and if there was a bit more specific metric, than an 8.5 would be a bit more accurate. It had really strong areas, which are obviously the animation, music, and personal enjoyment for me. Shinkai rocks at all these aspects, and for everyone reading this review, I am
...
betting that you've seen his previous works, so this will be a no brainer to explain. Now, the crux of where this score comes from is primarily with the story and characters. I like these main leads, but for the first half of the movie, Shinkai was lackluster in trying to frame where he wanted the story to go. It started off as a runaway's view of Tokyo, and his integration into working and hustling in Tokyo. Then, it strays away into some messy situations to make this male runaway meet the heroine of this story. After that, it essentially boils down into what these two did together, and the ultimate conclusion of this film is the prelude to their grand reunion. Overall, it's a standard plot overview, but I liked how Shinkai incorporated Japanese mythology and urban myths to create an intriguing story that I could comprehend and be engaged with. This mythology relating to the sky, coupled with his breathtaking animation obviously uplifts the "okay" story of this film into something that we can experience, which helps with enjoyment. I think Shinkai was trying something new with this film, which I give him great credit for. It was supernatural like "Your Name," but it handles a different aspect of Japanese myth and culture, which was nice! However, there were moments where the story seemed to stagnate and go nowhere. Yet, Shinkai was able to drive home his core themes and make a thematic ending that I can agree was pretty satisfying. It was not "Your Name" levels of being an awesome ending, but it was without a doubt satisfying. For any Shinkai fans, this will be a fine film that you can add in your watchlists. For any anime fans in general, this will be a wonderfully animated film that will undoubtedly be enjoyable. So, if you are worried about anything, no worries. This was an enjoyable film that I could watch in less than 2 hours, yet it remained memorable at the same time. So, go watch it people!

Tsuki ga Kirei is a school romance show that is quite simplistic, but that is what makes it so beautiful. I became engrossed in this show from episode 1 because it was able to captivate me with an awkward and realistic first love fomenting between the two main leads. This show is able to capture subtle emotional and romantic nuance so well, and even in silence with the two main leads, there is some palpable chemistry that is astounding. I went into this show uncertain about what to expect, yet I was given something that I can never forget. I have watched a good amount
...
of school romance shows in the past, yet Tsuki ga Kirei has definitely left a good impression. If you love this sort-of-thing, this will be an amazing watch that will never disappoint you. I was so engaged in this story that I felt like dying from embarrassment so much because of the realism. This show is just incredible, so if this show interests anyone that comes across my review, immediately go and watch this show.

This will be a very short review. I am a guy that usually does not even watch anime related to idols at all. Yet, this show was surprising, because I actually felt invested, and it was fun to watch. I was glad to have watched it, since it does provide some insight into otaku culture. While it still is a bit unrealistic, there is some frightening realism that really is portrayed in a fair and funny way. It was enjoyable, so watch it if you can! In the end, I had fun with this, so for those on the fence, go ahead and give it
...
a try.

Darling in the Franxx is an anime that is enjoyable, however, there are some polarizing aspects of it that may turn some people off. In general, though, I found it to be a good show. So, here is the basic breakdown of what I liked about the show and such.
-------------------
Story: 7
The story is probably the weakest aspect of this show. My score does not indicate any hatred for the story, since it was comprehensible and compelling for some episodes. However, all the episodes throughout the entire show holistically are not equal to each other. For example, certain episodes sprinkled throughout the show delved
...
into side characters, some drama, and other plot devices to help not make the show monotonous. I enjoyed some of these pivot episodes, and some were genuinely insightful and helped to world build and humanize people. However, there were some episodes that really got on my nerves, and provided zero value, and lacked any memorability as a whole. However, I can surely say that the final 7 to 8 episodes really helped to rehabilitate any misgivings I had. The final few episodes got me genuinely engaged, and I was pumped with adrenaline to see the ending. As a whole, some weak episodes did not take away from my overall enjoyment of this show. Yet, there are some huge misgivings I have with the plot, since the developments with the antagonists, and certain side characters that lack meaningful development can really annoy me. Yet, as a whole, it was a fine, understandable plot.
-----------------------------
Art: 10
- What can I say, it's fire. Like, stunning, stunning, stunning. All I have to say.
----------------------------
Music: 10
- During fight scenes, when that music pops in, I am hooked. It is great music, and that's about all I have to say.
----------------------------
Character: 7
- Characters in this show are okay......... what do I mean by this. Well, basically, we have basic anime archetype characters, which are fine, since that's the foundation of most shows. That's not the issue I have. The real issue I have with some characters is their lack of development, and somewhat stunted development. For example, the villain of this story was not really well-developed, and that plot twist with that revelation of a new alien entity really did not mesh well. It was really rushed, and as the story continued, it just became ingratiated in the story as a norm without any proper development, which made me a bit puzzled. However, as a whole, the characters are fine.
----------------------------
Enjoyment: 10
- In the end, regardless of the flaws, this show was really enjoyable. It was fun, exciting, sad, and basically every emotion you have combined into one. It was also sometimes mindless, with the fight scenes and such, so, it was kinda a mess. Yet, it was awesome. There are cool relationships, cool fight scenes, and some good stories that make up for the flaws. It's a good show, so watch it guys.
--------------------------
Small Commentary for those that compare it to Evangelion
- A criticism that addresses the flaws of a show is valid. However, trying to use Evangelion as some bar of comparison, when the only relation the two shows share is having some mecha stuff, is not valid use of criticism. The work itself should be reviewed, and while Evangelion in its own right is a good show, Darling in the Franxx is pretty good as well. We should look at the show with our own eyes.
- As a whole, don't compare Evangelion to this show.

Overall, this anime was a 7. It was not bad by any means, but not extraordinary. My headspace when starting this show was not a masterpiece, but simply a heartbreaking tale of a group of people weathering the storm and aftermath of an earthquake, a common tale for many when experiencing national disasters. In the end, I got this story, and a bit more as well. The last 3 episodes of this show made me contemplate whether to give this show an 8. Undoubtedly, that twist at the end was something I never envisioned before. It was a slow-burn, heartbreaking revelation that genuinely shocked my
...
core because of its abruptness. It was a masterful twist, and it made me look at this show with a bit more admiration relating to its execution. However, this anime had its faults as well. The main character, Mirai, while not unlikable, can get on your nerves with her outbursts. Granted, she is a middle schooler with a pessimistic attitude towards society, but for a few episodes, she still retained this attitude even DURING A NATIONAL DISASTER. However, her younger brother did help to rehabilitate her image, and undoubtedly the guardian character helped to keep everyone together. Furthermore, all of these characters faced at least one life-threatening situation every episode, which while made my nerves spike up a bit, got old as the series progressed. Altogether, this show had its flaws, but the atmosphere and characters it built up made me invested, and I recommend anyone interested to take their time and watch it.

(Spoiler Warning): This will be an in-depth review of this show.
Quick Note (actually long): "The Day I Became A God" is a show that was highly anticipated, and objectively speaking, the response has been wildly mixed. The response ranges from "Best Show of 2020", down to "Most-Disappointing Show of the Year, and the most prevalent response would probably be: "Eh, this show was mediocre." Where would I place this show? That is a strange question to answer at first, as there is so much that makes this show so different. First of all, it is a Jun Maeda work, and his past works give
...
us a good indication of what to expect typically. Jun was the creator behind the Clannad series, Angel Beats, Charlotte, and a whole bunch of other shows that can definitively be placed in the emotional/tear-jerker genre. With Clannad, a clear majority can say that it was a good show with wonderful themes, captivating characters, and just that it provided a warm atmosphere that made viewers very enthralled. However, as we continue onwards to Angel Beats and Charlotte, we began to see the flaws and criticisms that can be thrown upon this anime as well. It had emotional themes, but it was "too short", it didn't have "enough character development", and a whole plethora of other criticisms that are truly justifiable, but aside from that bloated intro, lets get to my review.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Story: 5
-Before watching this anime, I had built up high expectations for it. As I began watching this show, it seemed a bit off. I mean, the first episode drew me in, and I was hooked. The next few episodes were fun and brought smiles to my face. However, the little hints about Hina's past and other nefarious parties that were being introduced either at the end of these episodes or sparingly being dispersed in the middle of some episodes really did not do justice to the supposed climactic and eventful ending that Maeda was hoping for. Undoubtedly, the progression went through in a linear manner, which is just a given for most shows. However, the inability of Maeda to truly encapsulate the feelings of the characters from Ep. 9 to 11 really irked me. I was not mad, nor did I feel cheated. However, the execution was really not well done. Maeda left a lot of things unanswered, like what is this nefarious party that determines what technology can exist or cannot, and what is its true purpose. Why did the professor not immediately destroy his belongings, or actually provide more adequate safeguards for such an advanced technology. Why do some of the characters feel numb or emotionally blunt after Hina's disappearance, and what happened to Hina? Maeda hinted to some vague "experience" that Hina went through, which did not fully explain anything really. I found it a bit frustrating, but at the end of the day, I kept watching because I did feel some attachment to the plot, which is not the worst mind you. It follows the same expectation of Maeda's previous works like Charlotte and Angel Beats, which also, in their own respective merits, had interesting premises that were ended in a bit stunted ways that could have had more explanation. In the end, my true criticism is that Maeda should have extended the final arc at least 2 to 3 more episodes for a more fulfilling explanation of the behind the scenes events. This is why I gave it a 5, which signifies a plot that was comprehendable, but not one that is compelling enough to truly encapsulate the true feelings of the story in total.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Art: 8
-The art was great, and it was easy on the eyes. P.A. Works in general does a splendid job in the animation department, and this was no different for sure.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sound: 6 (Bumped to a -------> 7)
-The sound was okay..... How do I put it? The OP was pretty good, so I would give it like a 7. It had a good feel to it, but I would not consider it the most memorable work. Now, the ED, it was really forgettable, so I would give it a 5. However, the only reason that I'm boosting my overall score of the sound to a 7 is because of the final song that was used at the finale of the show in Ep. 12. I have to admit, the song that was used to accompany Youta pushing Hina's wheelchair on that path with the cherry blossoms blowing in the air, it was just stunning. I will grant the show this, because it made me feel good, which is a good feeling to have at the end of any show.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Character: 7
-The characters were fine, and served their necessary roles. I can confidently group most of the characters into these designated groups. There is one group of characters that are the leads, and they are the ones that drive the plot: (being Youta and Hina). Next, this group are the supporting characters that are around these two: (being Izanami, Ashura, and others). The next group of characters are the perceived villains, or more so the obstacles to the main couple's happiness: (being the genius hacker, and the nefarious corporation). Finally, this group is built up of people who were changed by either of the main leads for the better: (being "most of the characters in the story".) All of these characters served a necessary role, which helped the plot quite a bit. I can say that for the most part, I did not have any issues with the characters. However, some had certain quirks that were a bit repetitive, and while I did not feel personally annoyed by them, I can tell by some of my peers that they did not enjoy this trait of the characters. I can say though that Hina and Youta were definitely an enthralling pair that drove this show, and without them, this show would literally be below a 5 automatically. Hina and Youta were compelling, and we could see their bond grow as the episodes progressed. The development may have been stunted by some strange mood changes and emotional outburst, but overall, I enjoyed this pair, and when they became a "couple", I felt that was pretty appropriate. Overall, the characters were good, which is why they get a 7.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Enjoyment & Overall Feelings (8 & 7)
-If not made obvious by my scores above, I enjoyed this show. It was not what I expected, but what I can say is that it bring smiles to my face. There were plot progression issues, some character qualities that irked me, and some other discrepancies that made me a bit annoyed, but overall, I thoroughly enjoyed watching the show. It was comedic, had some insightful themes, and while it kinda failed at fully developing and executing these same exact melodramatic themes during the duration of the show, at least I was able to mentally piece it together enough where it was not even an issue. I was genuinely captivated by the final arc of the show, even with my hopes of it being extended for more clarification. However, I have no regrets watching this show, which was a fine watch.
-So, I gave it a 7. Is this a bad score? No, quite the obvious. It is a score that represents a positive feeling about the show in general that its describing, yet it also represents an acknowledgment of some flaws, such as the story, characters, and music. These elements don't handicap the overall experience, yet, they at least hold back the series to a point where the score is lowered to a 7. If some of these criticisms were handled, this show could potentially rise to an 8 or 9 easily, however, a 7 is probably the best score I could give to a show that was really enjoyable, yet so flawed like this anime. It was fun guys, and I did cry to some scenes. However, be warned, this ain't another Clannad. It is more akin to a Charlotte or an Angel Beats, and it will have its vicious detractors, but also its most vocal supporters will come to its defense. To the readers of this review that feel disheartened by the previous reviews ranging from 1's to 10's, all I can say is that this anime is imperfect, yet, if it ain't your cup of tea, don't malign it as a 1, nor give it a 10. Simply just make your mind up, and turn it off. For those that enjoyed it so much and are questioning my score of a 7, I genuinely loved the show, yet, I could not look past some glaring flaws that while did not negatively affect my experience, it did hold back the show a bit. In the end, it is a show that you should watch, and if I could describe it in a few words: "Imperfection is perfection to a beautiful perspective". Don't hold yourselves back, watch this show, and then judge it for what it is.
