Anyway, what I meant is that the characters only had 1-2 minutes of screentime on average, and most of their screentime was related to reactions towards the protagonist. Which made them all seem like sidekicks (comparable to Yamchu).

Even the main protagonist had 'nothing but "You smell good and you saved me"' until the end. I think the best written side character was the Chairman, since he at least had some neutral dialogue'. The rest was just like "who's the protagonist?" "He's so strong!" "I want him in my guild/team" and that on continuous loop. I just kept thinking, ah here finally comes the character again, let's see what happens. Ohh... he's texting about the protagonist ... for the 10th time.

For that there was so much potential, at least for the 5-6 most important side characters, but no. But the shadow army was totally adorable.

Excuse me, i love Solo Leveling as well. In my opinion its the most badass Manwa/Manga i ever read. BUT the author didnt care about the characters at all. Yes they had cool design and badass personalities, but they were one dimensional af, even the Protagonist was really flat and empty.

I think Beru was my favorite character lol
