Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch

From the very first episode of Code Geass I was hooked into the story of Lelouch and his absolute hatred towards Britannia. Although I do not usually watch mecha oriented anime, this particular series is something special with its character development and cliffhangers that cause you to watch episode after episode until it is almost three in the morning. Overall, I believe this anime has one of the most well delivered plot lines and I would not hesitate to recommend it.
