Convince me otherwise. It's basic because it didn't say anything about anything. It's just a time travel story of trial and error that basically just ends with the status quo restored
All you've done is spam my profile every other day because being called a child hurt you that much
you even went so far as to specify you weren't 12 in your profile cuz it cut that deep

Okay, I get that, my problem is the way the whole thing is presented. If the demons were beyond comprehension and functioned more as a force of nature, like, for example, a fox is to a rabbit, this would be fine. Nobody calls 1979s Alien racist, after all. The problem is that the demons are very much not a force of nature, we don't get a reasoning to their behavior apart from a "they are evil" explanation from Frieren, which doesn't disprove your point, as Frieren herself is very much part of the rabbit gang. The problem is, that we also never see the demons act in a way that is beyond our understanding, to us, they are not some unpredictable higher being. They do not function like an animal, because the fox hunts for survival, we can't say the same to be the case with demons. So they fill this weird gray area, where they are intelligent beings close enough to humans to be considered a "race", but they lack the depth to make their actions understandable. So we can read it two ways, and I find both perfectly reasonable, we can either assume this to be a bad thing, the same way how the goblins in Harry Potter are "born to be greedy" and thus resemble anti-Semitic stereotypes. Or we can assume this to be a somewhat neutral thing, they are a force of nature, which is not offensive, but they also aren't all that compelling as an antagonistic force because of it. You can critique it either way, but I do agree, that calling it offensive would discredit one of the two readings, which to reiterate, are both perfectly valid.
