For both franchises as a whole: Long series that change each part/series. Both made back in the 80s (79 for Gundam). Both have a strong cult following that grows over time. Both have tons of merch. Both have a similar element of power, Gundams are like the main stands and mobile suits are like the side enemy's stands. Both have a very cool blond dude who basically controls the narrative and makes unexpected appearances. Good guys be like 17 or 15 and the bad guys also be like in their 30s or maybe 20s. Great music. Great designs for the main instruments of power (Stands/Mobile suits). Once you watch them, you'll be hooked for life. Both are my special interests! Both have a niche vibe and style to them. Both change animation styles over the years. Trans-Generational and different timelines. Could technically watch out of order but you'll miss out on context and hidden meanings. Colorful! Deep lore! Both 10/10 franchises!
