I highly advise you just read the manga. The anime has the worst watch order ever. The 4th episode is the 1st, the 7th episode is the continuation of episode 2 and I honestly don't get this mess. I don't know if its the distributors from Japan or the Director trying to be "Unique" but either way the ruined the show. Overall the story is interesting so if your are trying to get into Peach Boy Riverside I advise you just read the manga or if you hate reading try watching it in chronology order when it's finished.


This is being aired out of chronological ... order from the original source material by decision of the studio. Episodes 1-2 actually track fine, but 3 is just jarring and will make you feel like you missed a ton of info (which you did). Might be worthwhile to check when complete to see if you can watch in a true chronological order, but for now this decision just baffles me and I see no reason to watch it.

It literally skipped the best arc. And this show/manga is about tension and drama, outsmarting demons who outnumber you and have a major advantage over you. The arc they skipped is the central point of that story. I read the manga before the anime was announced (whenever a new volume was released), so I was basically just re-experiencing the story. But after episode 3 of season 2, I was highly disappointed. The first time I read it, I was so happy I did. It's so incredibly good that I was up until 3 in the morning reading because I simply HAD to know what would ... happen next chapter. It's that gripping and amazing. (Especially for the arc they skipped.) That arc is where we meet one of the best villain in the entire show/manga, and now he's not in it?!?!? Also, skipping what they skipped creates major plot holes. All those names you see on the wall? You'll never truly understand the story behind that detail. This studio (Staff) can say all they want about wanting to do something original, but that's just laziness or a lack of understanding of the source material. The arc they skipped is like skipping the Sasuke Recovery Mission or War arc in Naruto. It's just confusing. And remember how many obstacles the children faced in season 1? How hard it was to escape? Now they are out there being hunted, and everything is being handed to them. That is NOT how the manga goes, and I truly don't understand how anyone can enjoy this season and not see the vast difference from season 1.
