Hey, I saw you ask for some "sad" anime, so here's some to pick from: March Comes In Like a Lion (it's a Slice of Life with the kind of wholesome moments that can kinda make you cry; great visual style & symbolism by Shaft and some nice characters) A Place Further Than The Universe (a touching Adventure story, with amazing visuals, developed characters and a really nice vibe to it) Steins;Gate (this is probably the best Sci-Fi anime out there; great character developments with a story that'll keep your attention) The Pet Girl of Sakura-sou (Slice of Life story with themes about growing up, friendship, ambition, talent, hard work, etc.; starts off a bit weird but once you hit the first half there's lots of "feels" moments ;_;) A Silent Voice (story about redemption and forgiveness, acceptance and regret; may be a bit exploitative but I think it did a great job)
I wanna point out though, that these picks are ones that generally have the more "happy" tears to them, as in it's not some (cheap) tragedy that happens, but they were so nice/beautiful that they can make you cry at some points... I hope you enjoy some of them :) If you got any questions or feedback feel free to message me back :p
