This story blew my mind as far as top notch art, an outstanding take on the seven deadliest sins known within the christian faith, and most of all the acknowledgement of all characters. Generally, in shonen anime one to three characters get the lime-light per-say, but in this anime every single sin with exception of gluttony and pride (because one hasn't been around long and the other has yet to appear), has all had plenty of screen time level full of epicness. If you enjoy a story with a quirky style of witty references than Bakemonogatari is perfect for you. However, if this is your first monogatari series and you are watching it based on people telling you how good it was, then prepare to be confused. The monogatari series has an interesting take on oddities such as vampires, snakes etc. and is very familiar to the shinto religion which played a key role in asia's spiritual advancement.
