Cooking has never been enjoyable than ever before!
Shokugeki no Souma is an anime in which the main protagonist daringly shows his skills to the maximum test. Beforehand, as the main protagonist was cooking in his father's shop, he cooks with indescribable passion, and puts his will to the utmost top... Well, he always lose to his father. Even though he tried so hard, he just can't beat him. Now, this is the one that starts it all as his father travels unexpectedly without the notice of his son! Oh Golly, where could he have been? The main character, whose name is Souma, questions
...
where his father went. After many failed attempts of finding where is the father's whereabouts, he was called by his father, and he said that Souma will go to the most elite cooking school in Japan!
As we continue, The story goes on like wildfire as the plot progresses. There were times in which he wins, and there were times he loses. The story was incredibly unpredictable from start to finish due to the fact that we, the audience, are looking in a genuine looking live competition. We are cheering for our competitors, and looking forward on who is going to be victorious. This idea makes the anime definitely enjoyable from the start and to the finish. Also, the fact that the author knows a lot about professional cooking shocked me. I personally thought that this anime was much simplier than what I thought would be. This second idea makes the anime a whole lot more unique. The only problem in the progression of the plot is yet again, the unnecessary fan service. I know this idea makes some people get more excited to the plot, but in my opinion, does not work. It is distracting and ruins some of the amazing moments in this anime. It makes me cringe somehow.
The most surprising detail about the artwork is the gorgeous looking food! When I saw it for the first time, I was like "Woah...". It looks so delicious even though I know that the food is in the other side of my computer screen. In my opinion, this beats any artwork in the anime. The background and character artwork looks generically normal and are used in any other anime though. Concerning sound, it works really well with the dramatic situations like Souma is in a pinch during his cooking.
Well, this is the slight problem about this anime. The usage of yet again, generic personalities. I thought the characters would have at least a more complex personality in the anime I might say. They are a little bit too simple to read like Ikumi to Souma for example. It is a mix of your generic tsundere and the dense guy. Although they exist, there are some people who are actually decent like Akira and Shun in my opinion. They are mysterious that they are somewhat unpredictable and impressive. And one last thing, do the most of the characters know how to cook other foods? This is my question when it comes to the people like Ikumi and Akira. Do they know only how to handle meat and herbs? Anyways, this "specialist" trait sounds really stupid in my opinion. The authors might try to be unique, but this does not work due to the fact that they put a single way of cooking and another in each of the majority of the characters.
In conclusion, the characters are quite bad, but the unique concept of food wars makes up for it. I thoroughly enjoyed this anime to the end. Every click of the "Next" button was really worth it... Also, I love the overall action between each of the competitors. They don't use swords, guns, or whatsoever, but amazing cooking!
I highly recommend this anime to you if you want something that will keep you excited and energized as each episode progresses. :D

Two questions.
Why is there no sex scenes?
Why big boobed bitches only exist in this world?
Putting those aside, the story of this anime starts somewhat fine from what I can see... Even though, they used a generic zombie story from the west. Shock and drama went trough as the news of a zombie apocalypse has come so the main protagonist panics, but still able to somewhat succeed because of BOOBS POWER! Ahhhh, the plot of this anime seems to get worse overtime as each episode goes on. More and more unnecessary fanservice goes through the fucking roof. Why is this not an hentai by any chance?
...
The only cool thing about the entire story is the fat guy trying to get to hit that ass. Well, at least there are some good dramatic parts which I considered actually suprising.
Concerning the artwork and sound, it was truly magnificent. Maybe this is one of the few good points of this anime. The animation of the fight scenes was really spot on mixed with the uplifting soundtrack at the background. The landscape artwork is also detailed and high quality. Of course, the zombies included. The only bad thing in my opinion is the character artwork. It is generic and quite overused from other anime.
Now, this is the utter trash about this anime, the characters. Do you expect all of your friends to have big boobs with J cups or something? Do you expect that the main protagonist will not save his friends? Do you think that the fat guy would hit that ass? Of course not, because only the main protagonist will save justice and get all the impossibly busty girls. The awesome power of saving girls is truly wonderful. Putting the main character aside, the fat guy did not even get a kiss or something from the girls even though he is also the one who helped them get through tough times. The character favoritism is strong in this one. Not even the author puts equal treatment to the characters.
Well, personally, I only enjoyed watching this anime because of the zombies and action. I never have seen other zombie themed anime beforehand or maybe it is just hidden somewhere in the shadows. The action is great indeed. The mix of animation and action for killing the zombies is truly a good trait. About fanservice, I am fine with it, but this anime puts fanservice to a disgustingly high level that I don't need anymore explanation to this topic. Just why? This ruins the entire zombie apocalyptic atmosphere.
Thus anime is definitely not for the people who likes action without any fanservice due to the fact that this anime has action in it. You might just creep out and never return ever again. So be careful random person.
In conclusion, this anime lacks overall character consistency and the fanservice just makes the entire zombie plot look like a pile of laughing crap.

Uhmmm, I don' know where to start with this animation. I can only say that this is some messed up shit right here.
The overall story or the thing that portrays here are sexual innuendos that is really quite obvious indeed. Considering that this is dementia, I expect something more of a bit scary perhaps? Well, this is indeed mind boggling that you don't know what the heck is happening. I can only say that the sound really amplifies the scary/weird atmosphere with the sexual animations and all... Suprisingly, this thought me a lesson on how corrupted sexual lust is.
I can say that this animation
...
was fairly bad, but considering the lesson learned. I can say that this animation was not that bad after all.
I might also cannot sleep tonight and maybe you too. Nightmares...

Well, I can only say that this anime is what you call "normal" at all xD. Leaving jokes aside, Nichijou is a wonderful slice-of-life anime in which two groups of people live their daily lives in a totally absurd, surreal, humorous way as possible.
The story is focused on two groups consisting of Mai, Yukko, and Mio in the first group and in the other hand consists of Nano, Hakase, and Sakamoto. These two groups have lived there totally surreal lives together and maybe forever. Although, there is not much plot to it because it is a slice-of-life anime, we can sense through our
...
eyes and ears on how entertaining this anime really is. There is only one problem though, and maybe, this is a serious one concerning the anime. I did not really like the fact that part concerning about Nano... Well, few people might notice this fact, but I won't spoil anymore than this. Anyone who read this, just go on.
Concerning about the artwork and sound, I can say that there are really spot on. I just love the synergy between the cutesy artwork of Professor and the shocked expression of Yuuko(because of Mai) in this overall anime. The OP sounds really, really addicting with the animations and music going on. Lastly, the overall animation fits so well with the expressions of the Principal, Yuuko, Mio, and Sakamoto especially when they go totally nuts on what they believe is not normal concerning on what the actual crap is happening around them.
The characters also blends well to each other like a retort to a joke. Even though they are not perfect on what I can see because of some personality shifts during a scene, I can say that they are quite appealing and definitely not forgettable at all. The jokes totally helps the fact that the anime characters really are memorable.
I can say that the enjoyment I have to this anime is really high that I wished that there is a second season(I hope). It is not just damn enough at all. Overall, I can say that this anime is not perfect, but everything else makes up for it. I highly recommend this to the people who are up to things like surreal humor then go watch it too. :D
