When I first saw the opening of Ergo Proxy, my expectations were very high but it turned out as a big deception.
I liked very much the cold color palette and the artwork in general is great, including sound and music. In other hand, the characters have no complexity and nothing special at all. Except by Pino, which is the only memorable one.
The story is the worst part of the anime. It's nothing more than a bunch of philosophy and theology references mixed in a salad of pseudo-intellectual plot.
Plus there are many episodes where nothing happens at all. It's frustrating and underestimate the viewer.
