Be sure you make watching anime fun. If you're not having fun what's the point. Don't get caught up in the grind, or relentlessly start new shows that your friends are cramming down your throat. Watch what you enjoy and you'll look forward to watching anime instead of having it feel like a social obligation or a chore.
As for those of you who judge my high scores, in most cases I can't justify to myself scoring a show if I haven't finished it, and I won't finish a show if it's bad and I don't like it, so naturally, I have mostly 6-10's.
PS. Something I wanted to add is that I watch zero of the filler/anime only episodes in any of the anime that I watch. After having meticulously sat through, and sacrificed my attention to, all of the 295 filler episodes in the Naruto franchise, I made it law that I will no longer sit through a single filler episode again as long as I draw breathe. So, many of the long running series I have completed since say, 2019, I haven't seen a significant portion of the listed episodes of. Feel free to criticize my vow, but I refuse to sit through anymore haphazardly thrown together garbage when there are so many other incredible series I could be consuming instead. I more than make up for the number filler episodes that I have skipped with the number of untracked re-watched episodes I have consumed so I feel zero guilt.
And my waifu is Nausicaa.
