The greatest OVA ever made, but sadly the least known...

Bucchigiri (aka Bad Boys Boogie) is 50 minutes of pure enjoyment mixing in our MC Jin the Bosozoku and baseball. This OVA does whatever it wants too between a fight every 5 minutes in this OVA that could happen at any given moment between your local cafe, the school yard, the kindergarten classroom, in the middle of the highway, your local bar, the local bar next door to the local bar, and everywhere in between, because thats how the bad boys boogie in this anime!

If you don't believe that such a great anime exists, then check ... out the recent fansub by the newest group on the block, AoYSubs. The group put a lot of hard work into trying to take an already bad subs out there and having fun making something that is actually coherant and easy to follow along! You want a fun evening with Japanese biker youth and baseball in your living room, then look no further than Bad Boys Boogie (aka Bucchigiri).

Our podcast reviewed To-Y years ago and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

"To-Y is a product of it’s time, or should I say, a time where animators did whatever they felt like doing to an OVA in the Japanese economy boom of 1987. I saw To-Y as a visually fun looking 55 minute music video that told a story of a band and the people around it. Where as Jonn saw it as a giant waste of time 5 minutes into our AIM conversation."
