A rom-com story set in high school where a boy that loves to do flower accessories gets to meet a special girl that helps him, and after some times his crush from when he was younger comes in the picture to spice things up.
I wanna start by saying that I have watched this anime because of Gigguk's video "I Regret Watching This Anime." so I was a bit biased and expected to get pissed off a lot or cringe or something... but to my surprise, I didn't.
There seems to be quite a bit of hate towards this anime, especially the blue haired girl, but personally,
...
I enjoyed her. Ye, she's toxic, she cannot stay true to her feelings, she's a walking red flag, she lies pretty easily and is quite manipulative, sometimes not even realizing it, but it helped a lot by making this anime pretty fun to watch. True, the MC is enabling her, which makes her become even more greedy, but in the end, all I see are 2 teenagers that are immature, each with their own problems and needs, slowly trying to better themselves and learn what do they actually feel and what is important to them, and act on those feelings. Overall for me it felt a bit... real. I liked the interactions between characters, the acting and how they communicated between them, even tho they did have overdramatic moments. There are a few other aspects that I haven't seen many times in anime, so I appreciated those as well (I don't wanna spoil).
The story overall is a comedy for me, but it makes good progress and we actually get something out of it, so that a pretty big plus imho. It did resonate a bit with me and my younger days... The only complain I would say I have that kinda ticked me a bit was that the drama that's at the end of the anime was a bit rushed and didn't make that much sense, but eh... also, from what I've read online, they adapted 3 volumes of the LN (out of 11 as of writing this review 02/07/2025 and it's still ongoing, with no official English translation), and they changed quite a few important things at the end to make the anime have more of an ending, so I don't really expect a season 2. But the story does get a bit complicated in the LNs from what I read... with quite a bit of drama in it and weird decisions, so as a note for future me, if I still don't find the answers regarding the ending of the story, please go read online about it and see what happens in the end. Or who knows, if it gets an official English translation, pick it up, might be a light fun read! Not like I already don't have quite a few on my backlog...
Story: 8 -- It is a rom-com comedy story, but it has it's elements that makes the story pretty unique imo.
Art: 8 -- Art is as expected from this kind of anime
Music: 9 -- I liked the OP and ED, the songs and the animation. Also the music during the anime was okay too.
Characters: 8 -- Here is the make or break... you either will enjoy the main characters, or you won't. I found them funny and pretty realistic given the context, but I can see why some would find them really annoying.
Enjoyment: 8 -- I had a pretty good time watching this anime, contrary to my initial expectations.

I recommend this anime to people that want to watch a rom-com high school comedy anime, which has it's own pretty unique characteristics and the story actually makes progress. I would say even though a lot of people comment the on the characters to give it a try, like the 3 episode rule, and decide for yourself. Who knows, maybe you'll enjoy it like I did.

A man that got a lot of really bad events/traumas in his earth life, full of regrets, gets on his death bed a second chance at life in another world from a God... but there's a twist why this happens.
The story is pretty simple, the MC gets isekaied in a world with magic and sci-fi stuff as the son of a count, which is someone that has as its domain a planet system, easily becomes the count himself and then the story begins in earnest. There are a lot of events and things that should have dragged him down a lot and make him despair
...
and fall off even more, but the MC always gets out of them usually in some absurd way (the absurdity is a big element of the comedy in this anime). The story's events keep getting bigger and bigger, and more fun to watch and quite hype, as there are fights with thousands of ships in space. Can't say I am a fan of mecha, so for me the fights seemed okayish, can't say they were amazing as a lot of times you just see the MC being OP af and everyone just getting destroyed instantly, but it still was fun to watch. A problem I have is with the pacing... quite a few time skips that you just realize that they did them after a while, or which they don't really tell you much. I was surprised to hear the time it passed during the events of this anime, as I knew there were a few time skips, but they amounted to that much? Damn, maybe I wasn't paying much attention. I also did feel some times that just skip too fast to the next event/scene, but from what I read, they only adapted the first light novel volume of the anime, until chapter 12 of the manga (but I heard the manga is not a good adaptation of the light novel as it skips quite a bit and changes stuff). Will most likely read the light novel when it finishes, even though people be saying that it starts great but then falls off a bit in later volumes... Also, don't expect to see many details when it comes to governing and such, it is very light when it comes to that, even though he leads a planet system.
While there is the idea of MC being an evil lord, which for him translates as wanting power, money and women... he still acts overall really nice, at least when it comes to his "property". He is a selfish and more brazen lord over his domain, with a strong will when it comes to something he wants to do, but for the situation the MC found himself in, that was the perfect thing to be imo. But when it comes to the FMC... oh man... it really made me question a few things, as the FMC is a high end AI robot, for which the MC considers her as family and is very attached towards, to the point as you might consider her his wife or something... the real world already has AI gfs on the internet rn and I heard they're doing a lot better that I thought they would do... I wonder if we actually get something like that in real life, how would things change... would I also "fall" for something like that or not? Would I accept it? Do I want that to happen? It reaches almost the same level of question as the blue vs red pill in matrix, or the Plato's allegory of the cave... On one part it lowkey scared me to think about something like that in rl, on another part, I am very curious about it and I want it... anyway, those are just some thought that came while watching the relationship between the MC and FMC develop, so most likely it is my overthinking which led me to those questions. Their relationship is really great. The other characters truly felt like side characters, can't say they got much attention, but they still did their job very nicely!
Story: 7 -- The story isn't complex by any means, and from how it is made, it shouldn't be taken very seriously. It's mostly very absurd., and edgy at times... quite a few gag things being said as well.
Art: 7 -- Art is okayish overall, some things looked pretty cool, but then some other didn't as much...
Music: 9 -- Really liked the music.
Characters: 8 -- I actually enjoyed watching the MC and FMC interact and grow, and the other characters, while a few were easily to guess what they represent, were pretty good as well and fit the story quite nicely.
Enjoyment: 8 -- Overall I enjoyed it quite a bit.

Highly recommend it to people that want to watch a comedy anime, but are okay with a few more hard to watch scenes, want to see an OP MC growing more and more, a very interesting relationship between MC and FMC which is a high end AI robot, and are okay with a story that you shouldn't really take that seriously. I hope there will be a second season, and I will be waiting for the light novel to finish so I can read it wholly.

An anime about a healer getting kicked out of a party for being seen as useless, and then having a fateful encounter and starting a clinic in the slums.
I want to start by saying that I am proud of myself that I realized it is a new studio first real production right from the get go, from episode 1! Will explain a bit later...
Also, be warned that the presentation of the anime is a weird one, where episode 2 is actually the start of the anime, and episode 1 is just like a filler showcasing the state after the events in the rest of
...
the season... so don't drop it after episode one because it feels like they drop you in the middle of a story and don't explain anything.
Yes, again, another healer getting kicked out of the party for being seen as useless... feels like I've watched so many lately that it deserves it's own genre title at this point, if it doesn't have one already. Yes, he is kicked out, yes the party thinks he was useless and not doing anything, but actually he was carrying the party, yes he is instead very OP, yes he is dense and even though everyone says that he's amazing and can do things like no one else, he still thinks of himself as just your average joe healer, yes he gets a harem, even speedrunnning it, yes every girl falls for him, yes he has the personality of a stone and even talks like one. Basically, it has all the elements that the other 1000 other healer stories have.
Story is not amazing, as basically there isn't really much of a big narrative, it's mostly events that come and go, events that can be predicted very easily, sometimes even putting everything in front of you like those moments where the characters suddenly talk about some obscure thing that nobody would even think about, and then 2 minutes later you see that thing creating an event for the MC. What were the odds?! Eh... If you start thinking about the story, it is absurd and doesn't make much sense a lot of times, with quite a few plot holes. Also, quite a few arcs do try to teach you some "philosophical life lessons" at the end of them... but they're not very well done and barely hit anything besides maybe a bit of cringe... those moments don't last long though, at least there's that.
Characters are quite a few, and diverse... in species. Personality wise? They stay the same and are already known stereotypes. So don't expect much on that front. I like some of their designs though... can't say I like much the little elf kid and the way they portray their relation... yes, it's one of those animes... But good thing that the MC is so dense that even when told directly that all the girls that keep coming and staying with him are in love with him he will just shrug and say that's impossible, he's just a normal healer. Carmilla best girl btw.
Regarding how I realized it is a new studio, the art and presentation felt... weird. Uncanny. The art has lows and ups, but mostly stays low. Like a lot of still images where only the mouth moves, but then a fight comes and bam, you can see where the money went. Too bad there weren't that many of those high budget moments, guess it was because they have 2 animes this season... And the presentation of the events does feel like it is a bit rough, rushing moments, slowing down others... it has no consistent pacing, sometimes even in the same moment. But it's not much of a critique, just an observation. It's good enough for what it seems to me that it wants to achieve.
So why watch it if everything is overused plot points and characters? Because it is dumb fun. That's it. That's the main attraction point for this whole anime imho. It is something to watch after coming home from work or had a hard day and want just something relaxing, that makes you smile and can even make you laugh at times. It's main point is comedy, especially from the absurdity of the events and the MC's monotone voice and behavior. For me at least, it worked pretty well.
Story: 6 -- The story is pretty basic and absurd, which does help the comedy part. But if you pay a bit of attention to it, it does have quite a few plotholes... but again, from my opinion, it's a story that was made to enhance the dumb fun aspect of the anime.
Art: 6 -- High and lows, mostly lows. Some moments are top tier, but too few, and the rest are... really meh.
Music: 7 -- Okayish music.
Characters: 7 -- Basic characters, MC is OP and fully dense and doesn't understand how powerful he is, even when told directly. Carmilla though is the best
Enjoyment: 7 -- I had a good time with it all together, especially because I wanted an easy watch with good vibes.

I recommend this anime to people that want to watch a comedy anime, especially a dumb fun one, that just want to relax and chill. Do not go expecting any revolutionary deep story, with complex elements, as you'll be severely disappointed. It's just another one that you watch and most likely forget.

An anime about a beast tamer that gets kicked out of the hero's party for apparently being useless from the hero's party perspective, and him going off adventuring alone and meeting different "beasts" that he tames...
So yea... beasts... if beasts were humans with a few animal features, then oh man, a lot of people are into "beasts" these days, huh?
This anime is not an isekai, but if it was, I would consider it a thrash isekai. It is just pure fantasy, but not a really well done one imho.
The story presentation is pretty cringe. Only good vibes, which quite a few times feel forced,
...
MC always gets that luck to meet the beasts/people at the right time, wins them over with his basic nice guy friendliness and makes contracts with them, and they happily agree... but there's no feeling of struggle. Everything just falls into MC's hand, always at the right place and right time, saying the right things (which are just some basic words) and winning everyone over... well, besides the few "antagonists" ig, which are just your typical scumbags without an explained reason, or a very poorly one.
The whole story feels weak to me, nothing deep in it, barely any worldbuilding, easily guessed, everything exacerbated by the MC which has the personality of the "good guy" that always wishes to help and barely has any other emotions or depth to him, and the other characters being all over him because he's a really nice and "interesting" guy... All presented in a very, at least to me, cringe way, like everyone calling his name at the same time kind of way. And oh man, can the MC grow a pair of balls?? Feels like the whole anime he needs pampering from his newly acquired girls... cough... "beasts"... to actually man up and do something without being a worrywart. Sometime he does show some resemblance of confidence, but then he doesn't... You know the archetype of MC where even when they are strong af and everyone in his team are as well, and he keeps doing stuff that no one else can and everyone says how unbelievable he is, but he's all about that "oh please, I am a normal beast tamer. In fact, my whole childhood is normal!" (small spoiler: it isn't)? Ye, he's that type, and it gets old... for me it is already very old because I've already seen my share of these kind of MCs, and they weren't entertaining then, and they still aren't now. At least he doesn't shy away from doing things... even though the power of friendship trope is strong in this one....
The other characters are pretty nice, especially the ones he makes contracts with. One thing I enjoyed was the comedy in this anime. It felt pretty good and nicely presented. Also some interactions were normal good vibes, no cringe stuff... but there are moments and speeches that are just pure cringe for me. Felt sometimes like I was watching some kids show ngl.
I'm not even going to touch about the plot holes or weird plot decisions, like how did the hero's party not recognize Rein's worth as a special beast tamer? Every normal beast tamer there seems to exist there, can only tame one animal at once, but Rein can do multiple, and only him, which would make him very special, but for some reason nobody in the Hero's party and around them knew that?? Okay...
Story: 6 -- Not much of a story tbh, it kinda goes with the flow of what happens in that moment and how the MC reacts... but too many perfect moments and lucky for the MC. No struggle whatsoever, besides ig before he got kicked out, but you just get remembered that...
Art: 7 -- Pretty nice to look at art, but the fights, and there are a few of them, aren't that great. A lot of static images and then showing the results kind of fights.
Music: 6 -- Mediocre.
Characters: 6 -- I did not like the MC at all, and the others were rotating around the MC like crazy, so couldn't really see much progress or personality in them besides basic stuff. Barely any growth as well... which is a shame, because sometimes it felt like there will be quite some progress or something. Liked the comedy tho, wanted to see more of it tho.
Enjoyment: 6 -- It was a mostly meh watch with a few okay moments for me.

Tbh, for me this is a forgettable anime, so I cannot really recommend it. There's nothing special going for it, besides maybe being an anime you watch for the really good vibes, but with your brain turned off so the cringe doesn't hurt you. Maybe for someone that's new in the anime world it might seem good and enjoy it. So yea, can't say it is worth much of your time.

A story about a people being transported in a VRMMORPG that they were playing for quite some time, a game which was the kind where anything could happen if players found the way to do it.
To be honest, this anime is not that good, it's mediocre at best, with shitty CGI fights and lot of skipped content and unanswered questions, even basic ones, that just take away from the overall experience. This anime truly felt like just an ad for the source material... But I lowkey enjoyed it. It made me curious about the light novels and to see more of that world, as
...
everything it showed made me think that this story has a big and good worldbuilding, and because the story goes more on the way of the MC/FMC (whatever you want to call it, it's a gender bent from male to female MC) going on adventures and exploring the world in a very chill, comedy like and enjoyable fashion, it kind of grew on me.
The story focuses on a summoner, the one named One Man Army, the best one in his kingdom founded by his RL friend. He had the character of an old wise mage... until he spent a few credits and experimented with creating a cute avatar, only for him to be caught getting transported in that cute avatar. But as it happens, not everyone was transported at the same time, some came later and such... A lot happens, but the main thing of this story is that the MC just goes on adventures exploring the world and trying to find a few people. The adventures are pretty interesting and really make you wonder about that world, but alas, they seem to me really cut short and not much info given, as even characters met during those adventures don't really get much time. But one thing that really made me enjoy it was that characters felt like they had personality, their interactions, almost all, didn't feel cringe to me, which is a big plus when it comes to thrash isekais. Some people might complain that there's almost no progress to the main story though, so be warned about this, that this anime season is mostly about the journey, and not the destination/results.
But the production of this anime... is kinda weird at times... from montages that feel made just to rush the story, to showing fights as still frames, and even when something is moving, you bet there's gonna be a lot of CGI that's kinda bad... also MC is an OP summoner, always having something for every situations, but you don't really get many explanations on anything, which I find it as a shame... guess I will have to read the light novel for those. Also, the pee jokes/scenes are quite a few... I like that they do show what an army would look like, but then when they show the fights between those armies, it's just some isolated parts... or just rushing...
Story: 7 -- Big potential on a lot of worldbuilding, but you don't get much on it. The story shown here feels mostly like a presentation of what the source material will explore more.
Art: 7 -- The CGI was kinda bad in this one, but there were a few fights... sometimes with a lot of still images though... But the rest of the are was okay.
Music: 7 -- Didn't have a problem with it, but nothing special as well.
Characters: 8 -- Here I really liked the characters and their interactions, even though sometimes I felt like I didn't get to see the whole scenes animated, and just small peeks at what the source material contains.
Enjoyment: 7 -- Overall I kinda liked it, it made me smile quite a bit, and really made me curious about that world.
Overall: 7

I recommend it to people that want to watch a chill, comedy like adventure anime in a world that does seem to be kinda big, with a cute MC, which are also okay with not having all of their questions answered. All good vibes type of story/adventures!

A story about one of the most powerful, if not the most powerful dragon, being killed and reborn as a human in a frontline village.
This is an okayish watch. A chill type of anime, that does not do a lot with its premise, at least not as much as it should, which I can already see made quite a few people dislike it. I mean, when you hear a dragon being reborn as a baby, you expect to see quite a lot of what it would mean for someone that lived like forever trying to live as a human, see how he handles his powers
...
and knowledge... anything that involves the idea of a dragon reborn as a human... well, you don't see that much at all. From the start of ep 1, you can see that they literally skipped from him being born to him at age 15 or 16 (where he is considered an adult and has to leave the parents house), and that kinda tells you quite a bit about the story... You just end up with a human that has what it feels to me like fake personality and that is quite dense, with special powers, knowledge and entities like Gods he knows, trying to live normally in a village and find what he lacked while living as a dragon, like people that he cares about and stuff.
You still do see him and his (really) old friends, because some entities can still see his soul and know who is he, and he still has ancient dragon powers that he uses from time to time, but that is not the main point of the story, which is a shame. The story focuses more on the human part, and sometimes, him being a dragon really doesn't do any special impact to the plot...
At the beginning of the anime, for quite a bit of episodes, the story is very chill, bordering the boring level tho, with a few small arcs here and there, but towards the end of the anime it starts picking up the pace, sometimes a bit too much, and starts showing decent fights and more background about characters, or at least some answers/indications to answers to questions that you probably have about the story, like why is Christina in such a remote village while being the top student at the magic academy?
But until you reach the better part... prepare for quite a few cringe discussions, quite a lot of yapping, especially during fights... man, some fights are so damn slow because of all the yapping and also feels like they just wanted to drag out the fights to fill as much of the episodes as possible, and I lowkey dislike the idea of a fight being "I power up, you let me power up, I hit you, then I let you do the same to me, and I will wait for you too"... not all fights are like that, but most are...
The world seems quite rich and with a lot of potential, but you don't get to learn almost anything about it, the perspective of the story being mostly on the frontline village and the areas around it. You still get a glimpse of interesting things from time to time, that makes you questions some stuff, but too bad, you won't really get an explanation...
Also, really nice new fetish that I never saw before: milk. Milk from a cowperson. In this world, a cowperson is just a human female with cow horns... Very interesting discussions being had in this anime about the milk...
Story: 7 -- This story is more about the growth of the MC as a human, finding a place and people he loves, a reason to live. There doesn't seem to be much of a main plot, and they didn't touch much on the dragon part during the anime, even skipping his growth as a human kid... most dragon parts are towards the end of the anime btw
Art: 8 -- Quite good art for this anime and fights, but I would have loved to see it more, but they chose to make some fights pretty boring to not have to use it...
Music: 7 -- Nothing good, but nothing bad. I'm neutral
Characters: 7 -- I did say the main point felt more about the growth of the MC... but damn, he is really slow, and still doesn't realize a lot of obvious things... Also why are there so many female interests fighting over MC, when we already have a main one that everyone with more than 2 braincells can clearly see that she's the one for MC? Kinda infuriating tbh, cuz it just makes me feel bad for the FMC. Also a lot of kinda cringe interactions and convos, and also the MC feels like he just adapted what he sees as the good type of human personality and sticks to it like crazy, which just feels a bit disingenuous...
Enjoyment: 7 -- Most parts I've seen them as chill rather than boring, but there were a few parts that just became boring for how long they took for the sake of dragging out... towards the end of the anime it started to be more entertaining, but then it felt like they just started rushing stuff.... very weird pacing if you ask me...

I can recommend this anime only to people that want to watch a really chill anime in a fantasy world, that are okay with not having many explanations, the focus being more on the MC trying to find his place in the world and what he lacked as a dragon in his past life (which is basically just a reason to live). Do not expect much from this anime, and you might be fine...

An otome anime where the FMC actually tries to be the villainess she got isekaied as... or does she?
Even she questions the correct path to becomes a villainess, so how can someone follow a path that they don't even understand correctly? If the "villainess" part is just standing up for yourself and calling bs when you see bs, and being more bold than usual with your approach, not sugar coating stuff, then ig quite a few people are in the "villainess" category... This felt more like watching her finding the definition of what kind of villainess she wants to become and trying to stick
...
to it the best she can, always calling herself as one...
Ig I was thinking a bit too much while watching this anime, so maybe that's why I found it pretty boring and uninteresting in terms of almost everything.
As a general view, the story is pretty generic, you got that FMC being isekaied in an otome game that she knows about and is happening in a kingdom. She starts at 7y old iirc, but there are time skips so you will catch most of the action happening inside their royal/magic academy... You have the typical characters that you find in almost every otome anime like the serious and icy prince, the blonde that's always aloof and etc.
But now let us talk about the problems I had with this anime and why I couldn't really enjoy it:
- very weak and small worldbuilding. You aren't going to explain barely anything about the place where the action takes place? Distances that barely make sense? You're going to introduce high ranking people and interests, but barely a few characters that are actually important in such a big kingdom that it has an academy for the nobles? Hierarchy structure? The king barely having any people near him? Where's the army? Guards? Ministers? Other people? Maids? So many students shown, but only a few that actually matter and do something? Where are the teachers?? Man, this felt like such an empty world to me while I was watching... Felt like only the characters that had something to say/do were shown and talked about, and the rest forgotten. Like I even forgot the FMC had a mother until the last episode... Such a small perspective that it just makes everything feel unnatural to me...
- magic system. where is it? this anime spent quite a bit of time hyping the magic system and powers like "not many reached level 100" and talking a bit about levels and that they are hard to reach and what a genius the FMC is that she can use magic at such a young age, even giving time skips for the FMC to learn it... all for it to barely be shown and then quickly forgotten :/... But the few times you see magic, you can see it is quite OP... and then you show me that certain things that seemed basic to solve in a world with such OP magic can be solved only like that??? Yea, I don't wanna spoil it, but I kinda found it hard to believe that was the best solution for a certain problem... whatever, it's not like they explain much about it...
- time skips... I think these time skips were the most empty time skips that I have ever seen. Barely anything happens in these time skips. Felt more like the author just wanted to rush the time and finally reach the ages where things can happen like enrolling in the academy at age 15 and etc... Also feels like these time skips were mostly for the FMC, and the rest of the characters/state of the world stayed somewhat the same.
- this story has a few parallel action points happening at once, but it sure is progressing a few of them without telling or showing anything. You just find out that something already happened... which leads to quite a bit of a problem, because when can you attach to characters when the action involving them is being skipped like that??
- the prince... every time he appeared on screen, things would just break the flow of the story and get really weird really quick, and I am not even talking about their age difference in certain moments... it felt like shoujo elements being forced and beaten into the story. It really made me feel awkward watching the scenes with the prince. It did get better more towards the end... but it still happened from time to time
- while they do give reasons why people act the way they act, it still felt pretty childish or artificial to me, especially the other FMC that is considered a "saint"... a lot of conversations felt unnatural af to me, even taking the reasons presented into account
- the last episode was the most interesting one to watch imo, as it sets for a big change for season 2, but taking into account all the problems I had with season 1 and the story it wants to tell in season 2, I have high doubts the author will be able to tell it in a good way...
Story: 4 -- Generic otome story, but the presentation is very lacking. Empty world, weird time skips, events not being shown, sometimes rushing stuff, small perspective, unnatural conversations and interactions....
Art: 7 -- Not many action scenes... But the art in general was acceptable
Music: 5 -- Nothing memorable or that strike me as "man, this music really elevated this scene"
Characters: 5 -- Generic otome characters + unnatural interactions + quite bad presentation of them = not good at all
Enjoyment: 5 -- Somewhat interesting at first, but it become more and more boring the more I watched... the last episode did set quite a nice idea for season 2, but I have high doubts it will be executed well enough when taking into account the failures of this season... if it even gets a season 2

Tbh, I cannot really recommend it. Compared to all the other otome anime/stories that are on the market, this one feels like a really bottom tier one. Couldn't even present generic otome stuff in an enjoyable way... Watch it only if you want to pass the time ig

A story about misunderstandings, a lot of them, and a MC that is quite on the extreme side of being dumb, that wants to become an adventurer at any costs he sees fit, and oh boy does he has a really twisted view of the world (the really dumb kind).
I can already tell, especially from the mixed reception, that this anime is not for everyone. And that's because imo there's one important requirement to enjoy it: do not take it seriously. Even if it has elements of a serious story, do not fall for them! This is more of a joke of a story more
...
than anything, but not in the sense that it is bad, more in the sense that it takes the dumb MC type and goes with it to the extreme, and imo, it worked pretty damn well. Just look at the MC like he is a very dumb homeschooled kid that never left his home, and nobody taught him anything regarding what he wants to do, but has a really strong will to do what he thinks it takes to achieve his dreams, and if he sees something that he needs to do to reach it, he will do it, no questions asked.
Feels like a lot of people went into this and were caught by how good certain elements are, like the animation, storytelling, characters etc, and started having expectations which were shattered by the really stupid OP MC type and the amount of misunderstandings that happen, which left them disappointed... I guess. For someone that went into this knowing those "problems" that people complain about, I actually found them as pretty strong points in the story that made me enjoy it more.
Goods:
- this is a deal or break, but the MC is very dumb to the point he might even be on the spectrum imo, he lives in his own understanding of the world that he creates, and there are a lot of misunderstandings that keep him there and feed that world. He just cannot comprehend how OP he is, as he always has a really good reason why everything went good for him, but that reason is never that he is actually strong
- animation was pretty fire at times and overall pretty good, and a bit gory, which I did not expect from this kind of anime and was pleasantly surprised by it. I barely saw CGI being used, and it was not the eye hurting type
- comedy is quite the main point of this story, and most of the comedy is from the misunderstandings that happen
- there is somewhat of a plot, but it's pretty basic. Just the bad emperor kingdom wanting to destroy another kingdom, which leads to a lot of situations for our MC. It is done pretty good imo. The presentation and storytelling is quite good and in pace for the type of story it is. Props to them for having a bit more characters that are actually strong, but I feel like the anime didn't present them all as I saw in certain shots characters that had the coloring of an interesting character (like those memes where it shows a lot of people and tells you to guess the MC), but they didn't introduce them or used them
- if you didn't guess it already, be prepared for quite a lot of absurd scenes involving MC
- I like the designs of characters
- a story where there aren't any romantic feelings between MC and FMC, which is pretty rare imo for these types of anime
Bad:
- ngl, there aren't many things I can find bad about this anime. Like ye, you can complain about some stuff, but I feel like that stuff is an important part of how the author/director/team wanted to showcase the story as, limited by 12 episodes. I mean, read its title and you can already know what you'll get, and imo it's done in an enjoyable way. It's not a top tier anime or something, but it's a good watch for the people that enjoy these types of stories. You can nitpick stuff, but eh, are you really gonna do it when the main point is to not take it seriously and just enjoy an extremely stupid MC that is OP and doesn't realize it?
Story: 8 -- While the story isn't some ground breaking stuff, it was presented in an enjoyable manner. You can see it was made mostly to put the MC in those situations and showcase him.
Art: 9 -- Did not expect the art to be that good. They could have used so much CGI and in so many moments, but they didn't, and I respect that.
Music: 9 -- Kinda fire OP and ED imo, and the music matched well in the anime.
Characters: 9 -- Enjoyed them all, especially how they handled them. Wish we had more time to see them bond tho...
Enjoyment: 10 -- I had a really good time watching this anime.

If you are okay with the gag of having a lot of misunderstandings involving an OP MC that doesn't realise he is OP, then this anime will be a great watch for you. In its own genre and type of anime/story, I think this is quite a top tier one. Highly recommend it!

An unique story, that will leave you surprised and always guessing what will happen next, with deep philosophical questions that will make you think about life as well.
There are a lot of other reviews that analyze a lot about this anime, so I won't do another, not like I'm good at it... But what I can say, is that the 3 episode rule is valid for this anime. You will understand if you will like this anime or not in those first 3 episodes.
So I will just put the goods and bad, as many as I can remember rn.
Goods:
- unique MCs with top tier problems
...
and personalities, that have amazing character growth, even though they may seem more on the extreme side of things
- a lot of tangents with real life historical views, so if you want, you can learn quite a lot by searching some things on the internet while watching
- unique story that takes fictional and non-fictional worlds and mashes them together, even though it focuses more on the fictional part, focusing and presenting quite a few ideas about life
- it is realistic, and reality is often disappointing (not in the sense that this anime is disappointing)
- life inspirational story, so who knows, maybe it will change your views in life a bit
- great action scenes
- beautiful, impactful scenes, very well paired with the songs
- from my point of view, really close to a masterpiece, but compared with what the market has, it can be easily considered a masterpiece for how above it is over all the other animes
- top tier characters overall
The bads:
- not really bad imo, but if you're weak of heart, know that this anime has quite a few scenes that are hard to watch
- I personally didn't have a problem with this, but be prepared for a lot of long conversations, heavy ones
- for how realistic it seemed, it did have a few small parts that were ???. Good thing they aren't that important (for example, a normal necklace supporting the body of a fully grown adult... I see no reason to do it like that, but it is something I can look over it)
- the main problem I have with this is the ending... without getting into spoilers, imho it created confusion just to maybe deliver a certain idea/view, that could have been delivered in other ways without doing it like that... some of you will like it, but I personally didn't like it that much. It's still a good ending, and it is in theme with the whole anime, but idk... felt a bit too much of a divergence from the whole journey we went through
Story: 9 -- Top tier story and presentation, with a lot of ups and downs... but the ending was a bit dissapointing to me...
Art: 10 -- Top tier scenes with top tier art, great character designs
Music: 10 -- Top tier OP and ED, that changes with the progress of the story. Also the music used in scenes elevates a lot of moments and delivers
Characters: 10 -- Top tier characters with top tier growth
Enjoyment: 10 -- After the first 3 episodes, I was hooked. Really enjoyed my time watching this

I highly recommend this anime to people that want to watch something that will make them think and question beliefs/views in life/opinions, that want an intriguing story that will keep them hooked, always wondering what will happen next and how it will go. This anime is a top tier journey.

A 30 y old man that always wanted to use magic, even believing the fact that if he doesn't lose his V card by 30 will make him a wizard, gets reincarnated into a world that... doesn't have magic. But wait! It has! But it's not discovered yet! So he gets to be the first to invent magic in that world!!
Before I go to the goods and bads, know that as of writing this review, the manga finished (got axed) with 3 volumes, and from what I understood it finished exactly where the anime ends. There's also a light novel, but it has 2 volumes
...
released in 2020 and 1 in 2024... and that's it... none translated officially in english... so there are very, very low chances in my opinion of it getting a second season. It's a wonder it even got a season to me. So if you will end up liking the story, know that you might need to read the web novel to know what happens next...
Let's talk about the good points of this anime:
- an interesting premise where the MC needs to try and understand how magic works in that world and how to use it
- pretty interesting magic system (expected)
- the beginning of the anime and the end of the anime are okayish/good
- I liked the monsters, especially the goblins
- not an OP MC, but still a "special" one
Now onto the bad points:
- the MC acts like a child a lot of times, not like someone that would have 30+ years old ("+" because you add the age in that world as well)
- certain characters are quite annoying...
- it is slow, and it is slow because of what I would consider a plot hole. The MC spent all his real life wanting to use magic, so you would assume that he would learn about it and stuff, know a lot of things and a lot of mediums and occult stuff, but no, he doesn't know anything besides screaming "Fireball!" and throwing his hands... quite a ??? for someone that was portraited as obsessed over magic. Then the plot hole comes: even after finding that magic exists in this world, he has a hard time figuring it out... and because of that the anime has a pretty slow pace, especially at the beginning.... Now explain to me how someone that always wanted to use magic and supposedly learnt a lot about it cannot figure out a magic system faster than his current slow speed...
- there are time skips that to me do not make sense. In a few weeks he figures out quite a few things about magic, then comes a time skip of years where he barely advances with magic and is almost at the same level as he was before the time skip... Kinda dumb to me, but whatever
- sometimes you would get spoon fed information... you see a scene where some random convo says something regarding a certain idea... next scene that idea becomes really important! felt very natural and not at all very easy to guess the whole event where it was heading (sarcams)!
- they overdid it a bit on the flashbacks and emotional scenes, especially BECAUSE THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN AN ADULT!
- the combination between the comedy and serious moments in this anime is really bad... why are you introducing comedy relief characters right after a big sad moment, that should have been more about desperation and stuff? Also the jokes are like 90% missing to me... and some of them are just childish... sorry, but I don't find it funny when you make a really serious and important character switch between acting serious and acting like a toddler, especially not in the given context and how it was done....
- one thing that kinda put me off is the relation between the characters... a lot of moments felt fake af, like those "picture a perfect family moment" types, a lot of convos between characters are too much to the basic script to feel natural, and the relationship between the MC and his family, especially his sister, is uhh... not a very cool one, especially when you put it in the perspective that MC is 30+ y old... I think someone might be added on a list if he was thinking and saying the stuff he was, or at least be under supervision or something... also, some of the characters that became good "friends" to the MC... brother/sister, where and when did they become good friends? I barely saw them! Damn time skips and making me assume half the story!
- ended up where the story finally starting getting interesting, and because of the info I wrote at the beginning, a season 2 is gonna take quite a while to come, if it even comes...
- I expected more magic making... testing, different spells, finding out about the history of that world, more worldbuilding... but ig it was okayish what we got... would have been way better if we got more though...
- he showed that he has the ability to revolutionize the world with his knowledge, but doesn't do it... instead, he even gives for free some of those ideas...
Story: 6 -- Good premise, very bad execution
Art: 6 -- Quite a few static scenes, barely animated fights besides maybe the last one, and again with the 20 something army that protects a city with big walls and stuff!
Music: 7 -- nothing memorable, but not bad
Characters: 6 -- I did not like any of them, besides maybe the sister's friend, the one with blonde hair, but she didn't get much screen time so eh.... I was neutral to all of them
Enjoyment: 6 -- Not much enjoyment... sometimes felt like a drag to continue to the next episode... but some episodes did deliver a bit at times
Overall: 6

It has its moments, but mostly bad/disappointing ones. I would recommend this to those that want something to watch to pass the time, another isekai that had potential but failed to meet and deliver it, and are okay with a story that you may never see a continuation to. It's not really a fully thrash isekai, that's the only reason I'm at mixed feelings about it, but it is close to being bottom tier isekai... it's right on the line between mid and bottom...
