The opening for this part is absolute gold and probably one of the most memorable openers in a JoJo part. After all, what other parts have their JoJo lamenting about how they were caught masturbating in front of a guard? While this part is definitely on the controversial side, I do think it's worth a read.

Overall, I really enjoyed Jolyne as a JoJo. She was fun, badass, and reminded me a lot of Josuke. Anasui, while he can definitely come off as creepy with his advancements toward Jolyne, was a fun character and provided most ... of the comic relief for this part. It's hard not to like the guy that doesn't know what's going on half the time and is pretty much only there because he wants Jolyne's hand in marriage (though I do think his love for her is genuine and less in-your-face compared to Yukako, where that was basically her central characterization). Weather Report was badass and had a broken stand; Foo Fighters was a fun character and super adorable, with a powerful stand, to boot. Hermes and Emporio were the weaker links in this part, I enjoyed them a lot, but I feel like they were shafted in favor of FF, Anasui, and Weather Report. Pucci was a perfect mixture of Dio and Kira as a villain. He was essentially a walking contradiction and was so well-developed.


I would have given this part a 7 because the fights were definitely on the weaker end (don't even get me started on Dragon's Dream and Yo-Yo Ma) and I wish some of the characters would have received more development. But the development of Jolyne and Pucci, along with the ending made my score tilt to an 8. It was such a perfect, bittersweet ending for the Joestars.

Such a dull anime. I really wanted to like it but found myself yearning for the end of each episode. The main girl was tolerable, a little stoic, but fine; however, Nasa, the main boy, was ABSOLUTELY grating. Each line of dialogue from him sounds like a creepy pervert, but the main girl still sticks with him for reasons that are beyond the viewer. The story is bland, side characters are two dimensional. The blonde girl is the only one with some common sense about their relationship yet you can't even side with her because the anime portrays this girl as always yelling and pretty ... much psychotic. The art is nothing to praise about, the animation looks like something that would come out in 2010 yet for some reason, it's a 2020 anime. Honestly, I feel like this anime would have done better back in the early 2000s, but with all the other romance animes out there, this one is one of the blandest I've seen in a while.

Not a bad anime; however, I don't think I was supposed to ship the uncle and his nephew, and yet I did. I liked the episode where they became super spies, it gave a prime example of how stalking is a form of spying, which is true to an extent. Are we all super spies when we continuously scroll through our exes Instagram profile and find out who their new beau is? I'd like to think so.

It was really weird how the nephew dressed up as a cat for his uncle's birthday and let him pet him for the whole day because the uncle ... was allergic to cats. I'm not sure if I'm overthinking this, but that's just a little bit odd. It felt like the uncle was taking advantage of his nephew at times, causing him to do things that may not be okay to most people, but the nephew is still a child and didn't know any better.

Even though the uncle was in his 20s, it still doesn't make a difference because his nephew is a kid. If they aged him up to 17/18, I could get behind their relationship, but they just seemed a bit too close to be regular uncle and nephew, even in this case of the uncle taking on a role as a guardian.

Because this anime caused me to support potential incestuous relationships, I can't give it any higher than a 6.
