At first I watched No6 because of the Shonen Ai tag. But watching it, it became so much more than a shonen ai anime to me. After watching it over and over again, I can honestly say that it is one of my favorite now.
The story is really catching, although I'm usually not into sci fi anime. I didn't find any annoying characters, as a lot of anime can have. The message behind the story is dark and makes you think, but the sweet scenes are here to make you smile. I loved how the personality of the characters wasn't too "unreal", as for the

relations between each others.
I cried three time during the last episode (twice of joy, don't worry) !
Moving on to the shonen ai elements: the protagonists love each others, since the first time, until the last time. They can feel it, you can feel it, every one feels it. It is the most beautiful romance I have ever seen in an anime (but here I'm talking about my personal taste, so you might not like it as I did. If you prefer fan service/ero BL, you're absolutely not in the right place !). The romantic scenes aren't cheesy or anything, they just are the sweetest.
I would say that the only thing I disliked about No6 was the opening (the voice of the singer made me so awkward).
