How can anyone give this a score above 4?
You can give 1 point for the fact that there is at least something close to the word "animation". Rarely and barely there is at least some movement so you can't say it's PowerPoint only.
2 points for the voice acting which is the only thing that anime does well and that's it.
Characters and story not existent, the anime could have been shortened to like 8/9/10 episodes and you'd still think it's too long. Not because the aNiMaTiOn is lacking, but because there is no story and character development, nothing is rly happening at all. 2010 CGI also
...
joins in here and there, sceneries empty as hell...
As an anime only this one just sucks and it's a perfect example how not enough givin time can work out, at least I hope that's the reason, otherwise the animators are not suited for this industry.
Besides the points to make fun about it or analyze this anime of a mistake about all it's errors, I see no reason to recommend or watch it.

For ME the anime feels like it's out of the 2010s.
The art style, the way the story is told, a short flashback of the last episode at the start of a new one, a titel card of the episodes name which a narrator reads out loud, the music, how "show don't tell scenes" are executed- like as a compilation...
It somehow does't rly fit the 2020 era but I don't mean that in a bad way. It made me feel bit nostalgic how back in the days some of the cast say the episodes title with a theme exactly just for that and where they give
...
you a quick summarization what happened in the last episode. The good old days...
Anyway, this anime for now is pretty decent. Character visuals are nice, the story has the "twist" that the MC is Isekaid into a more medival fantasy world but doesn't know/remember it yet- at least has memories of our timeline and figured out the use magic just by immagination. This discovery felt that it happened bit too fast but hey.
Animation is solid, nothing special but definetly watchable and the characters aren't blant and seem to have bit of personality.
Actually the areas where the story takes place so far feel rly organic. There are many scenes which are just 5-20 seconds long, which only show the "NPCs" and their lifes and interactions with each other and that makes the world much more believable than the elf village of "The beginning after the end" which is also airing right now.
(Sorry for the fans at this point, H-Studio Queen Bee could probably do better.)
I admit that for now that Teogonia doesn't have the vibes of a deep story or anything which could become really intriguing later on, but is also not an anime you can just use as a second screen experience.
A highlight for me is has scenes which actually show skirmishes and battles. Finally a "medival battle anime". I miss such anime so much since there aren't that many in comparison to other genre.
6,5/10 for me, maybe a 7/10 but that depends how the anime is going.

I tried to like it but I just can't.
The female MC(Mina, vampire) is beyond dislikeable in everything. I don't care about the Loli design(it seems to have an actual reason but in my eyes it's not a problem anyway), it's just basically everything she does. The longer I watched the more I couldn't stand her. In some scenes and arguments she has some points if we try to look from her perspective, but overall she is one of the most dislikeable characters that exist.
I wanted to watch to the point someone hopefully punches her in the face, but since in ep7 sexual assault and probably rape
...
join the story it's over.
The manga seems to be pretty long and I've spoilered myself a bit in what kind of direction it's heading, and I don't like that either.
Overlord seems to be the much better choice if you want to watch something from the "villian" side. At least it explains the viewer much faster and better why cruel things are allowed and done, even if you don't agree with it.
In this anime the only thing why violence, sexual assault and stuff happens is because vampires are just the superior race. Mina even orders and allows such things, still she "wants" the help of the humans for good co-existence.

So my guys,
as every other basic Isekai it's nothing special if you look at the story but good enough to just shut off, so until ep12 it was a 6/10 for me,
why that changed comes bit later.
Voice acting in my eyes is rly nice(Japanese voice actors are just awesome) but man, this animation. I don't care when small anime don't get the Demon Slayer/Solo Leveling/Jujutsu Kaisen animation quality level and are more static, but holy moly THIS anime is beyond that.
I'd say you can see that the animation studio wants to try and some scenes are much better than the rest, but then there are
...
scenes where you can't deny that it's 2/10 quality, even Seven Deadly Sins S3 looks like gold compared to that.
A thing I must "highligh" is the character variety, even for the side of side characters. Every no-name has his own visual.
Now to the point why it dropped to 3/10.
The MC... when the anime started he was the typical average MC you can expect when it comes to this kind of Isekai. Good heart, kind: stereotype MC personality. He says he doesn't want attention and wants to live in peace and at first it's exactly like that. Not every Isekai has to be action heavy. Chill anime are also fine, Tondemo Skill is a good example.
Of course the story turns out to be the opposite and that's fine. Still, the thing I don't think matches all that is that the MC actively works for that and I don't mean that by twists and turns it becomes like that. His "I want to live in silence and peace" is nowhere to be seen(at latest halfway through, it is no longer the case) and the longer the anime goes on and whenever there is the chance for him to stay true to his self acclaimed "I want to live in silence and peace" he does the exact opposite. It just makes him unrelieable.
Now to the MAIN POINT:
Throughout the anime female characters join his group and as you can guess by the way I phrase this sentence yes, he fu**s most of them and in all honesty I don't mind that since he is in no relationship, plus all of them are always fine with that(you can say it's a cliche harem but it's not 100% like that but I don't know how to phrase it better right now). I hate that character trait when even in not romance anime guys act like little kids when it comes to sex and being an adult, all this unnecessary shyness for nothing.
So, where is the bad thing I dislike you may ask. Now in ep12 there is a maid and to summerize the situation:
He and his group/family help the princess in different cases and at the end of the episode he gets summoned by the princess in a room where she and a maid, which the MC earlier took a glimpse at, are waiting. The princess asks the MC if he likes women like the maid. He says yes, princess says as thanks he can do the maid, MC says he has a wife, princess says he's bit stubborn and asks, since the MC has the ability called Item Box and Shangri-La which means he can buy items of our world and put them in a magic back, if he has some naughty stuff in his item box(ye- double meaning). MC suddenly asks if the maid would be fine with that, maid says yes, MC bangs the maid while the princess is watching. -_-
First he brings up the point that he has a wife but literally 5 seconds later it means nothing to him. That his wife is fine with him banging the other girls(not the little girl, he sees her as his kid) since they are travelling together is okayish. At least no cheating and whenever he interacted with other women, doesn't matter if he got caught lacking there or was just on friendly terms with them he got the side eyes from his group and focused again. Until now he stayed true to his harem but now when there was a chance he just took it.
Cheating is always a dealbreaker for me, doesn't matter real life or fiction and that he just went for it when noone was there is just garbage.

Currently we sit on episode 4 and damn, the phrase: 'Wasted potential' rarely fits as well as it does here. I know it's a bold statement for only 4 ep out of 12. Quick rundown:
You have the name giving robot kinda living beings called Mecha Ude with their own mind which can "fuse"(more like attache) with a humans body. This will increase the humans physical strengh and the Mecha Ude can activate it's true form like an extra robot arm, a tail, variety of guns, whatever and makes both of them dependant on each other. The Mecha Ude needs something called Albitrium which every human
...
has inside his body. If they get seperated by force the human will die after a few days since the Albitrium in his body will leak(imagine it in a form of gas) and the anime states that Albitrium is like the soul(don't quote me on that).
Now to my points:
The anime jumps from event to event. I don't mean it's fast paced(which it sometimes is but not hasty) but I miss the connections between the scenes from time to time. Sometimes you watch a scene with almost no connection to the last scene, no transitions or explanation why character XY is at place XY.
Another thing is the bad/weird storytelling and how things are connected, character decisions are made and how they are executed. There are so many examples in only 4 episodes I don't know which ones I should take.
For example(Minimal Spoilers now, jump too *** to skip):
1. You're one of the good guys. Imagine your job is to retrieve an really important Mecha Ude(their unactivated form is like a rubic cube). You then find out it has fused with a random civilian teenager(MC, who ditched school that day since he had to follow a voice in his head which led him into a cordoned off area by the police he simply ignored because the voice in his head asked for help- how to become the MC clichee).
Now you have two options how you can convince him that you don't want to kill him and that you need him to follow:
Option 1: Gain his trust by like introducing yourself and explaining him the situation.
Option 2: Tell him that if he moves he's dead, which would make him scared and increases the chance he would try to escape.
Guess which option the character(main female character) in this series chose.
You can argue it's a good introduction for this character to give the viewer the right impression on what kind of personality/character traits this character seems to have.
But looking at the importance this situation has for the story it's just a bad call. There are plenty of better ways to tell her personality without making her look stupid.
2. In this example you're the boss of the good guys. You now have the MC which actually isn't suited to have this Mecha Ude since his amount of Albitrium is far under average(means he's weak) and for his safety, since he(more his Mecha Ude) is very important, you decide he should have a bodyguard. Again you have two options:
Option 1: Choose someone you trust and can handle this task.
Option 2: Choose someone you trust, is the main female character, but due to her past and recent events could maybe slightly be bit impulsive and do some actions which could endanger the person she should protect.
Again, guess what the decision here was.
3. It had to happen as described above. Side girl decides to immediatly run somewhere(Port storage depot or something like that) to investigate something and drags the MC with her. They notice enemies being in that area. If you would take your task as a bodyguard serios you would probably avoid facing them. But guess what our big brain did. Because of her emotions she approaches them directly and since it's obvious a fight will break out she tells the MC to stay close and not leave her side. Seems logic, except the first move she does is an aoe attack around herself which pushes the MC away and then she says: "I told you to stay close!". You might think it was supposed to be funny for the viewer, but I see no details and hints that it was meant to be a joke. It could end here but na.
In her brawl with the other guys stones, baseball bats and even a shipping container fly around and almost crushes the MC so he takes cover and finds a child sitting between other shipping containers.
He wants to protect the child from the ongoing fight(which our girl can't see since she's some meters away), gets kidnapped, gets saved by main girl and then one of her Mecha Ude claims the MC tried to use the chaos to escape and she has the audacity to say; that because of the MC's recklessness the bad guys almost got his Mecha Ude. Just imagine this stupidity, also looking character writing wise.
Thankfully the MC then points out that only because of her they ended up in this situation and that she was the one which created their separation in the first place and that he wants to leave without her, and now imagine this:
She ignores her task of bodyguarding, let's him go and argues this with the reason that the MC should cool down, but may have forgotten that she dragged him into the danger- like no reflection at all. Even the MC's Mecha Ude asks him to apologize since she's their bodyguard and I'm just sitting in front of my screen and ask myself what I'm watching right now. In his shoes I would ask myself too who's the bigger danger here. But hey, they had to create a situation where they are separated for another event to happen...
*** I ofc want character development and know more about the cast, but pls figure out more reasonable and logic reasons which make such events happen and god pls, don't make this kind of stupid characters with the dumbest decision making just to make the story go on. This is just bad storytelling since I can't imagine who would act that way. Yes, it's anime and yes, it's fiction but cmon.
The action is rly good (8/10), but for me it feels like there are sometimes 1-2 frames missing since some connections in the animation feel bit off, but maybe that's just me. I also like how they try to do some cool camera angles but sometimes it's bit too much and I lost focus. Voice acting is top but for now nothing extraordinary yet.
Characterwise there's not much to say. Designs are cool- mostly the bad guys stand out and at all I saw more personality of them compared to the good guys which is also bit questionable but nothing which the next eps can't fix.
I know I bashed a lot here. Itself the anime isn't bad and at least rly entertaining, but lacks so much in my eyes so I can't rly say it's good either. That's why I'm currently sitting on a 5/10. Opening is nice too.
Update: I watched ep6 right now and in some points it got even worse, story still doesn't rly exist, the characters of both sides have no screentime and personality(except the MC's) and that makes me so sad. You have cool character designs, a cool setting and somewhere there is a kinda origin story to be told, but the way everything gets portrayed and shown is so BASIC, boring, in some ways beyond any logic and in many points not fleshed out in the slightest which makes everything you see just slide by in your brain and the only entertaining aspect are the fight scenes(still 8/10, maybe even 9/10).
At all I don't see in which point except the fight animation this anime wants to shine. You can see the anime can be more, but isn't successful since the action seems to be the only focus and everything else like world building and story are left out.
I honestly hope the fans get what they want/expect. Usually an anime should inspire the viewer to get his hands on the manga to deep dive even more in it's world, but here I would get the manga only for the reason to see if it's actually good.
This anime could have been a small shining star...

Just ask yourself this: Would you like someone who says rape shouldn't be allowed but does it himself anyway, because he drugs the women(which don't want to) with aphrodosiac and whatever else so they want him "theirselfes" and it can't be considered rape anymore?
If you do, then hey, you and the author have something in common.
If you despise such actions, don't watch this. Besides that the anime is trash either way.
You jump from day to day with one of the most annoying sounds that exist and the MC gets like 10 new abilities every minute so you get no feeling for his power
...
scaling. He gets his abilities by eating anything he wants and he shits on almost everything which has something do to with humanity(yes he's an Orc but still). There are no moments you can symphatize with the MC and his actions, as well with his behavior at all. He's the embodiement of: 'Power allows you everything' and that's it.
You yourself probably used/heard the term where people say that this and/or that is one of the worst things they've ever seen- mostly used as an exaggeration to show their point.
But in this case... This is one of the most garbage things whose existence I have ever experienced in my life. Without exaggerating anything here, I don't get why someone would like this or even animate it.
Anyway, do yourself a favor, read other reviews which took the time to rly explain why this show sucks, because I can't bring myself to point out everything that's bad here.

For now I think you can compare it with a FromSoftware game. When it comes to world- and character design you get a 9/10 or 10/10.
But when it comes to lore and explanations what's going on and how everything in this rly believable fantasy world works, you need a 1 hour YT guide to understand what you actually see or read the item description. Except there is obviously no item description in an anime and sadly the characters barely and rarely explain anything.
So you sit there, have an entertaining experience and want to get to know much more about everything, but the anime just
...
says:
Live with it. / Accept what we show you (peasant). :)
At the end it feels like that: With every ep more topics and questions get opened without any of the previous ones closed and you collect more and more questionmarks above your head, and still you want to see more since it rly feels like a fantasy world which you only find in 1 out of 100.

I'm rly disappointed how this anime is progressing so far. Biggest problem the anime has is that it can't balance being funny and serious. Quick rundown why:
In the first ep it starts with a calm half, shows the MC and his personality, some other characters(one is an already over the top goofy adult priest side character) and you first think it will be a relaxing anime to watch. Then the shift comes in; betrayal happans, followed by many killed people, much bloodshed, cut of bodyparts, beheading(also of a child in ep2), looting, raiding, Seppuku- everything showed on screen, not just told by a narrator or
...
so.
The MC(8 years old) which lost his father/brother/rank/home- almost everything, swears revenge. The logic guess then will be that the anime will have some funny moments but at all a serious tone... but nope!
It shifts from seriousness to over the top goofiness in 2/3 episodes and now I don't know what this anime wants to be. The seriousness is gone completely(currently ep6) and all the time characters, mostly this adult side character, break the 4th wall, are all over the place, goofiness here, goofiness there. At all the anime isn't taking itself serious anymore. In one scene the priest apologizes to the audience that they are shooting at dogs in a game/contest(arrows have a round head so no killing), in another scene there is a ship radar and a Monopoly board game for better symbolism, characters hold up wooden shields with funny notes to empower the jokes, a character can "speak" through his eyes because... well, it's funny right(?), we hear a dog speaking, the priest has a flashy hat, a side character wants to show is weener public and it's said he's touching women(I just don't get the joke if characters which are supposed to fill the pervert position do this, it's nothing big or bad, I just don't get it- was a one timer for now so well :/) and and and...
Another thing I don't get is that, if you watch ep1-3 there are rly good animated scenes, but then in ep 4/5/6 we have to watch
2015 CGI horses, dogs and their riders for minutes and I don't mean just random NPC soldiers, I mean the MC and co.
In ep1 they shine with rly good animation skills, but for moving masses and animals the budget seems to be quite low. Weirdly they were able to do a dog in ep1 and a Princess Mononoke boar as a boss in ep3 in full animated 2D. Sadly the first eps look like a blender and for me the anime is a blender in generell.
Characters are ok I'd say. There are hits visually but noone rly shines and definetly not characterwise. The MC has the clichee:
I'm the underdog but will be huge one day trope and his personality is the typical calm guy with big charisma to get new friends as fast as possible. The most interesting one is sadly the priest with his stupid flashbang hat lamp and that he can see in the future- still not sure if he can just predict and read people rly well or if he rly has that ability. When he isn't goofy he's a rly interesting character, sadly that happens way to little. His daughter for now is just useless and the other cha's still need their time to be noticeable. Somehow the latest character which joined the cast in the current ep6 has the most background out of all side characters which is questionable but ok.
I had high hopes after ep1 that this anime will be a historical oriented battle anime with a more or less good revenge story and characters which bond with us viewers. But for now there isn't rly that much to look forward to. For now looks like the typical: MC has a goal, every ep he get's a new friend to join him and with the power of friendship they'll defeat the big bad villain without rly going deep anywhere to have at least one thing to shine with.
At best this anime will be a saisonal mid or upper listed anime, but with the next season this one will probably sink into the hole of oblivion.
I don't say you can't have fun watching, in it's own way it can be entertaining, but it's just ordinary when it comes to story, plot, worldbuilding, atmosphere, characters and animation(which is mixed). The Op and Ending are quite good though.
Anyway, I'll gladly be proven the opposite and then change this review. But if nothing happens my points still stand.
