Sorry about that, but this anime is phenomenal, but before I begin, a word of caution, this anime took me until the end of the 11th episode to start actually liking, because that's when the story starts picking up.
I watched the dub and I would HIGHLY suggest that you do, because it includes many talented voice actors like Johnny Yong Bosch, Steve Blum, Yuri Lowenthal, and so many more!
This anime is awesome and I would love to score it higher than #5 on my top animes list, but I've seen so many it has to take a shameful place of #5. But DO NOT

This anime, IS FRAGGING AMAZING!
I absolutely loved this season after heavily enjoying the first. I don't know what to say, this anime was fantastic and I loved every bit of it, even the useless carnival or whatever episodes. I judge about 60% of an anime on it's ending, and this anime is why. It set the standard so high that few animes have a better ending than it does, it is currently my #3 anime, but DO NOT let that put you off. Now, I say this after getting very interested in the first season, pissed off at the second, and upset with the third. Because I really can't think of another good way to do this, I will just tell you my experience throughout this season. At first, I thought it was very well done and some really endgame kind of material that would wrap the series up very nicely, but then I realized something. Shakugan no Shana, or SnS, was a really good anime that I would suggest if you like action, romance, comedy, dramas. I do not like drama at all, so when certain elements were introduced, I grew very angry at the anime and it got a much poorer rating. Also, the storyline has some major inconsistencies within it where the author introduced certain aspects and then never touches on them again. I really hate inconsistent story lines so when these things happened it got a pretty poor rating.
Overall, I wouldn't suggest it, but it's not a bad watch, IF you stop at this season and just ...

The second season of SnS sucked.
I'm sorry but if you liked this you must be one of the popular girls at your middle school. The first half of this season has absolutely no real action and is complete drama. Now, something you have to understand is that I hate drama, and this got so bad, I read basic synopsis on all the episodes from 6-16 where the spoilers final died and was done. The ending to this season is also kind of a WTF and in my personal opinion should have ended there. I wouldn't really waste my time with this season and just watch the ...

I have not seen the original FMA because I got quickly bored with it because it felt like the target audience was a young age group of about 8-12. With this rebooted version, this is not the case what-so-ever.
This anime is action packed, fantastic storyline, and one of the most emotional animes I have seen so far (I cried A LOT). The OST for this anime is phenomenal, the characters are amazing and to top it off it has an awesome storyline* and great voice actors**. I do not understand why people enjoy this animes storyline, the only reason to watch this is for the fight scenes, which, by the way, or some of the best out there (if you can forget about the total rubbish storyline). Just so you don't waste your time with 300+ episodes of the same crap, here's a spoiler version of what happens every story arc (including fillers) in this horribly easy to predict anime after about episode 35+ or so.

Alright, seeing as how TMoHS is my absolute favorite anime of all time, this review will be extremely biased and may not be helpful at all. That being said here is my review:
TMoHCS is basically a completely non-cannon and chibi version of TMoHS that is basically a little short-series consisting of about 3-5 minute episodes of hilarity. TMoHCS was heavily enjoyable for big fans of the series but would probably be mediocre with a couple of big laughs here and there for people who didn't like TMoHS or aren't fans of the series.
