Writing this review after I just finished this story. And I'm now thinking why even thought I knew very well it would be something that hits me hard I still went and read this, I must be some kind of masochist and anyone reading this probably is at some extend. just from the summary, from the first panel of the manga you know already what you are getting into but it's only natural I guess to be curious and to test yourself.

I've been reading a lot of drama and romance manga but those manga normally act as some kind of roller coaster where you just ... go up and down with the emotion, that is if its written or drawn in a well enough way to make you react. However when picking up this story you already know that is is going to be sad, they announced it to you right away. It's with much anxiety that you dive into it, knowing that it is coming, looking at the remaining amount of pages as you read it because you know it is a short, you expect what is coming and it is scary in its own way.

I am glad I read this and now ashamed of my tears.
It is useless to describe the story to deeply here since it's about as long to read the one shot as to read a full detailed review of all aspect of this manga. So if you think you can handle a few tears or want to feel sad/happy, Just read it, don't waste your time going through the process of choosing if you need to put this on your "plan to read" and when to start it because it is a fast read that wont take more than 10-15 min of your life away.

if you need more convincing, it is from the author of Nisekoi, most people probably know this manga and either love or hate it, Usually the people who hate Nisekoi however will still agree that the art is still great. that said the same style is very present in this manga so it is good art.

It being a short, there is a need to cut short on Character development and make the story simple, I think it was done well enough here, there's really 2 important character in the story and as you read you kinda get what kind of person they are, the story is very straight forward from what the summary says, it doesn't lie and there isn't enough page to deviate to much from it so you are getting precisely what you are told you will be getting.

I truly enjoyed this, It shows that even though it felt like Nisekoi was dragging for a while near the end, the author still isn't short of producing something good. with this I'm really looking forward to see what his next work will be in the future.

I think many will understand where I am coming from here and if you do I strongly suggest you try this anime.

Like many when I first saw a few years ago The first episode of Sword art online, I got really excited. The setting, the game, the skills of the main character. but then few episode and you quickly see how the game is not important, its all about the character and his cliche love story that unfold.

So here come Quan zhi Gao shou. Where SAO Failed to aatisfy, this anime succeed by puting the whole focus of the anime on the game and ... it does it really well. It doesnt take much time for the anime to quickly establish the setting and put you up to speed of whats going on without needed long explanation. The story is simple and we dont need more here, What This show is about is the action and it wants you to sink into their game.

First It seems like a lot of peopel got troubled by it, and I feel its kinda idiotic to be anoyed by it but as you mmight guess from the name of the anime, its nor japanese, it's Chinese.(excuse my lack of knowledge on whether its cantonese on mandarin however because I do not know how to make the difference by ear). Lot of people who are too used hearing japanese voice over seem to not enjoy the language difference. Which is a shame considering the sound in the anime is probably one of his highest point. I'm not talking about the opening or ending here because too me its irrelevant of the anime as a whole since after one time when you binge watch a show you are likely to skip it for the remaining episodes. The sound of the show is well executed the music and skills sound effect are on point, the ambient sounds are making the whole thing top notch. Excuse my lack of technical words here but you will know quickly what I'm talking about by watching only one episode.

For what it is of the animation, Everything inside the game and all the backgrounds and the main character are really well done, there is use however of 3d animation which I never really enjoy myself and which I find kinda ruin the rest of the art when being used but that is the same opinion that I have in every other anime I watch. They dont abuse of it at least so if like me it is something you dont like to see you will be able to get over it easily.

Overall I truly love this anime. I sunk myself into it and I was able to get the satisfaction SOA failed to give me. The approach of pro gaming is making this much more realistic too compared to other MMO themed anime. The ambience of the show is what got me in so fast. I didnt know what I was getting into when I pressed play for the first episode but after every episode I didnt give any second thought before pressing next episode. This anime might appeal people who are into esport and competitive gaming and It might also give you some nostalgia of your MMO time if you played like me MMO a lot when you were younger.

Strongly recommend it for anyone who want a game theme anime that knows how to keep the focus on it without needing cliche romance, comedy or fan service to keep itself relevant.

Probably my favourite anime of the season.

After the first episode I read all that was available for the manga. Then going through the following episode I can tell that it is fairly the same except maybe for the art being much better in the anime and some event not happening in the same orders. Nonetheless I enjoy both and the anime even more.

Really funny, lovable characters it only makes me really sad that we are already 3 episodes left to it. I wish they would have make it a 26 episode season. Hopefully for a second season. hopping they wont conclude it with this ... one.

Alright, when you look at every aspect separately this anime would be really average
the story is kinda random, art is not outstanding, sound is casual. But on the other hand character are really lovable!

I watched this anime from 1 to 13 all together in one night and I was extremely sad on how short it was because this is probably the FUNNIEST anime I ever watched.

The ending would let you believe a sequel is possible, I sure hope this happens and that we will get 20min episode instead of 10.

Everyone that is looking for a good laugh should be watching this.

I don't understand how so many persons at the moment have been hating on this anime.

For the first part it is one of the best looking anime I've seen in a long time that was not a movie but a show. The sound is also really great, a nice fit to the strong visuals.

Story wise, the plot isn't reinventing the genre but it is still great. A virus that brought war, an evil organization ruling the country and a rebel group fighting them.
If anything I would say the that story was brought so they could push the visual and sound to another ... level. It will have been hard it it had been a slice of life or a drama. a futuristic world with action was a good choice. If anything this was created to be animated in the first place. the plot seems to go slowly but this is contributing to the smoothness of the anime which make me like to follow it.

The character can be basic but the little cliche they could bring are not exaggerated and are enjoyable and I don't get tired of them. They don't go focusing on the less interesting supporting characters so it helps a lot in that way.

A lot of anime has released this falls and Guilty Crown is one of the 3 that really hooked me up. Other being Ben-to and Boku wa tomadachi ga sukunai.

This anime deserve a fair judgment and I don't think that the majority of the people are giving it the chance it deserves.
