(Note: I only read the first volume)
You know that joke about male authors writing about women and how they always write stuff like "She breasted boobily down the stairs..."? Did you think that was an over exaggeration and that no one would actually write like that? Well, do I have bad news for you...
==========THIS REVIEW MAY CONTAIN SOME MINOR SPOILERS==========
This is a reincarnation story about a previously super strong knight guy getting reincarnated into a behemoth, but since he's just a cub he resembles a cat.
...
Naturally, he has to have a cheat skill, being that his main skill is that he steals skills from monsters he defeats and eats a part of. Pretty normal OP stuff. I have to hand it to the author, his basic combat skill (being able to outpredict opponents, spacing and positioning, etc.) still being pretty good as a cat because he was a knight in his previous life is actually fairly reasonable compared to everything else in the novel, which was refreshing.
(I'm not sure if this was a translation error (I could've opened up the novel in Japanese to check but I didn't want to subject myself to anymore of this) but it flat-out states that he had no skills upon being reborn? Which is incorrect.)
Upon getting completely owned by dungeon monsters because he's just a cat, he is rescued by the large-breasted (they absolutely make sure you know this at all times) elf girl and becomes her pet.
Speaking of boobs, there's a lot of them. A whole lot. The author can't go two sentences without mentioning how someone's boobs are bouncing, or how soft they are (naturally, the elf girl's normal place to carry her cat are between her breasts; I guess that's why that's the cover because it sure gets mentioned a lot), or how someone's sideboob is showing, or how the protagonist is just thinking about boobs naturally all the time. Don't worry panty lovers, they make sure to put an upskirt scene in there too.
They really go all-out with the fun cast of characters here: big-boobed elf girl adventurer (she's at least somewhat capable, even if protagonist cat has to help her all the time), big-boobed (they make sure you know that they're smaller than the elf's) tiger girl adventurer/shop owner, adventurer guild receptionist who's entire character trait is that they wear ridiculous bondage gear and have an unknown gender (wow, real funny), asshole adventurer guy, and some generic knights at the end of volume 1.
Most of the plot is monster-of-the-week style stuff, but the overarching reason why the characters are even together is that elf girl is insanely horny for the cat. Frankly, I think the author was too. Elf girl flat-out says out loud in the middle of a adventurer bar how much she wants to 'meow-meow' with him (tiger girl does too but only in her head). Protagonist cat frequently talks about his own erection. There's literally a scene in the side stories at the end of volume 1 where the author takes about a page or two to describe a woman being raped by a giant cat and how elf girl was turned on by it. They make sure to note how every monster elf girl comes across wants to do the same.
I think apart from the awful writing (I know for a fact that this isn't a translation thing), terrible characters, pages upon pages of nothing but boobs, non-existent plot, and insane obsession about cat penis, there's a lot of missed potential. Why bother having the tagline of the cool behemoth monster protagonist if you're going to just dash all the reader's hopes on the first page? If he was an actual legit terrifying-but-can-also-be-cute behemoth, that might've even bumped my rating up to a 2!
All in all, all reading this novel made me want to do was take a nice long shower and forget it existed.
