I can see where people are coming from with the negative comments, and having watched the first series as well I understand their complaints.
I think the series is worth a watch, but keep in mind before watching that although it does focus on similar elements it is quite different overall. Part of the reason why it isn't nearly as good as the first series is due to the time constraints. Eureka Seven was 50+ episodes and this is only 24 so there isn't nearly as much time for character development and other themes to be raised. Also, the series feels at times like they
