Honestly this anime is very underrated. Why? It doesn't have the commen flaws every anime has. I'm talking about bad communication leading to endless problems that could have been forseen had they JUST talked. Or girls who are to afraid to ask a boy out, etc..
Basicly, this anime doesn't have those problems, the characters are far easier to relate to. Sure they are still shy, quick tempered, sly, ... but we don't waste endless episodes on feelings or never get to see them confess at all, it's the opposite. I really like that because short animes ( 12 episodes ) usually don't give you much.
Story
I
...
didn't like how we got the most important information in (I think?) the second episode. Took the mystery away, I've seen enough 'video game trapped' animes to understand what could sort of be going on, but don't litterly tell me! I want to guess, wonder, discover. Don't spill the beans so fast! Apart from that we get a nice full picture of these guys's lives and that's great. I love that. But really, should have been 24 episodes. It deserved at least 24 episodes.
Art & sound
I loved it, we got a nice display of backrounds and magic. It was very amusing to my eyes. Also loved the music, calm and portraying love in stead of action and danger. I like it when, even amidst danger, friendship and love prevail, even in the music.
Character
This, I think, they did great. Every character had it's own backstory and different set of feelings. All of them got the chance to show how they felt and how to deal with it. I saw some really nice character development.
Overall I really enjoyed watching it and I was sad when it was over. I hope I get to see more of this. So many things they did right in my opinion, I want to see more of these people's work.

Things I want to clarify:
-Mai-HIME ends with them wanting to change the world, so if I'm not mistaken, this universe is what they changed it into.
-Most, but not all of the characters from the season before are in here. And no, Akira is not Mai, she's a look a like of Mikoto.
-Episode 17 only exsists in English DUB so prepare for hell.
I found the story of this season a lot stronger then Hime's story. Instead of killing of all the characters you just met, you actually see them evolve. Not just physically but also mentally. Everything is also explained instead of just calling it
...
magic.
The art is also better, I disliked many expressions from Mai in Hime, but it got a lot better in this season.
Overall I recommend this anime, you can watch it without having seen Hime and it's more fun.
Also, I think Nagi remembers the other world and wanted to change it back so he could enjoy letting Himes fight again.

NO SPOILERS AHEAD
I'll try to contain myself and not spoiler anything. So, make sure you watch this movie if you didn't already.
GOSH did I cry, like from the moment his mother finds that calendar till the moment he's standing in the middle of the school festival.
And there is so much truth in it, knowing damn well what bullying and feels like, it felt so real. And the fact that so many characters had their own feelings and storylines made it so strong.
Story: It involved many storylines but focused on the main characters, as it should. I mean it's not a serie it's a movie.
...
But the fact that we clearly knew there were other storylines, was a made it real and a great story.
Art: Well it's amazing, to be honest, I wouldn't have watched it if the art was bad. I can't handle bad art ///
Characters: I think this especially was great, no flat characters. Many series and movies become guilty to that. it's clear to see they put a lot of work in this.
I also think there's no lie in the girl being rather 'simple' or so to say... There is a big difference between people who can hear just fine and those who are deaf. We hear a lot in our life, not just from ourselves, friends, family but also from strangers all around us. Now imagen not hearing all that. Everything is quiet, people don't speak sign language, people can't tell you how they feel. Even her family must have problems with this. And everyone has to learn a new language because of you. They can't call you when you're away or just upstairs or even right behind you! You live an isolated life form everyone words and feelings. This can easily revolve in you not understanding feelings. And I think that's a message the producers wanted to tell us. We all live in our own world with words we can't pronounce. So, don't judge others for the words they have or haven't spoken.
Overall: I cried.
Yea no I loved it truly, it's amazing. So why are you reading reviews? Go watch it! And if you already have, you don't need reviews to know this is a masterpiece!!

|| NO SPOILERS||
For the producers: Just adding everything you need for a good anime, doesn't mean YOU CAN SKIP THE ANIME.
It had all the potential, art, sound, story,... to be a good anime. Why did you leave so many loose ends? Where did the anime go? It's like your just showcasing ideas for a possible anime.
Story: It's a total rip of from Sword Art Online, like totally... The more I think about it the more it resembles it. Also it's way to short and nothing is really explained. There are also real time skips and you really have to watch it in one go because
...
it jumps from one scene to another.
Art & Sound : It's really good so that's great.
Length: Why.. Why! Why 13 min episodes? Who told you that's a good idea D:
Character: The main character is okay, I mean he's a little to much of a 'typical hero' but besides that he's ok. Other characters are way to basic, they only seem to have one emotion, or at least that's all we see from them.
Overall it's sort of fun to watch, I finished it so... But it's missing a lot so wouldn't recommend it.

♦Why I think 'Fuuka' deserves a better rating ♦ |||NO SPOILERS|||
Not that I'm an otaku but I have been watching a lot of animes. Personally, my favourite are animes about magic (lots of fantasy basicly) so any other must really try hard to get my attention.
What drew my attention was the energy of the main character Fuuka, I tend to be alike a little (hehe). So it kind of swept me on board this anime and I continued watching. Whether you believe me or not, I really thought it would end different. You know what I mean I don't have to spoiler. But the fact
...
that it didn't, maybe I liked that even more. It was more honest this way, no matter how hard the truth can be.
I liked the pace of the anime, from time to time you hear them say 'it's been x weeks' so you know time is really passing by fast and you're only seeing the important parts. (Like you know, even in soap series you don't see everything like every toilet visit for instance.) They could have made this a 24 episodes anime but I like it better this way, it showed us what it wanted to show and no unnecessarily information to fill it up.
The art work is also great, I just can't stand to watch those old or bad quality animes. (sorry) Art work is really important for me because it brings the emotions out better.
Sound was great, I love how we actually heard their songs. (instead of skipping that part because of expenses) But also their practices and everything in between.
It bothered me a little how long it took them to realize who was in love with who. But I guess even if that wasn't the problem, it's still not easy. Being in love that is. But besides that, there were also characters who seemed to know exactly what was going on and I wish them the best. ♥☺
Overall I really liked this anime ( I didn't cry!... I didn't!!)
So I'd definitely recommend it!
